I wake up to my brother screaming. I untangle myself from the blankets and run into his room. JJ was right behind me. I sigh in relief when I see it is only a nightmare. He was sobbing, trembling and screaming. "Don't hurt her!" He shouts. I jump on his bed and shake him. "John B! John B! Wake up! It was just a dream!" I shout over him pulling on him. JJ held down his arms that were flying everywhere. "Wake up man. Come on." JJ said slapping his cheek. His eyes fly open in pure panic and within a second his arms where around my stomach sobbing into my chest. I look to JJ confused and he shrugs. I put my hands in his hair and rub his head. "It's ok. It's ok. I am right here." I whisper. JJ walks out of the room to give him some space and I mouth thank you. He nods and goes back to bed on the couch. "I- I- thought you were- dead." He said softly. "I am right here. It's ok. It was just a dream." He shakes his head. "It felt real. You went missing just like dad did. Please don't leave me." I shake my head. "I wouldn't dream of it. We are going to find him. Or find out what happened to him. I promise. But for now all we got is each other. Plus JJ." I say leaving it on a light note. "Thank you. Can you stay until I fall back asleep." He asked letting go voice laced with sleep. "Yeah of course." I say laying down next to him. He wraps his arm around my stomach and I fall asleep with him right next to me. Loosing or dad sucks but we have each other so we will get through all of it.
