JJs POV
"This is killing me baby." I admit staring into my phone sadly. "I'm sorry." Kie slurs tiredly. She coughs sounding like shit and her eyes meet mine through the phone. Kiara had passed out on the boat last week and we rushed her to the hospital just to find out she has chicken pox. I can't be around her since I haven't had chicken pox before therefore, I am banned from seeing her until she is cleared. "Don't be sorry baby. Just work on feeling better." I smile sadly. "Trust me I am." She says shivering. "I'm going to drop some stuff off for you. Check your porch in ten. Actually, don't do that. Ask your mom to grab it." I chuckle, imaging her trying to stumble down the stairs. "K. Love ya." She slurs tiredly. "Love you too baby." I say hanging up out 37-hour FaceTime call. It was killing me she was laying there in pain all alone while I was sitting here doing absolutely nothing. I stop at the closest CVS and buy her a couple things. I may have gone a little bit overboard. I drop it off at her door and as I am getting back in the van her mom stops me. "JJ!" I sigh and turn around. "Yes Ma'am." I say putting my hands in my pocket. "Thank you." I nod. "Yeah." I say getting in my car.
Five minutes later I get- a call from Kie and pull over. "Hey Baby." I smile. "I wanted to open it with you." She smiles. "Ok." I smile chuckling. "Cough drops." She mumbles unenthusiastically. "For your throat. keep opening." I say rolling my eyes. "A Hydro flask." She says rolling her eyes. "And a save the turtles sticker? Really J?" I laugh. "It seemed fitting." She smiles when she pulls out the pink blanket with blue turtles. "Aw! I love it!" She says wrapping it around her. "And one more thing." I say feeling accomplished that she was laughing and smiling for the first time in days. She pulls out the stuffed turtle and squeals like a child. "I couldn't love you anymore if I tried!!" She says hugging it. "Figured you could use some company. I love you Baby." Kiara kissed her fingers and pressed them against the screen. I chuckle and do the same. "Feel better love." I say hanging up.
