Skylar is John B's Girlfriend. They are new, only a month together. This story doesn't exactly follow the plot, John B got with Skylar after breaking up with Sarah after she slept with Topper.
John B, JJ, and Skylar decided to head to the Wreck. Kiara was working so they figured they would visit and grab dinner. The three sat down at a booth, Skyler beside John B. JJ across from John B. "I'm starving." She mutters leaning her head on John B's shoulder. "Yeah, I know. Me too." He chuckles wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "Me three." JJ chimes in rolling his eyes. The couple were very lovey on each other and had a great way of unintentionally making him feel like a third wheel. "Hey Cupcake!" JJ smiles as his girlfriend walks over to the table. "Hey, what are you guys doing here?" She questions handing out the menus and then placing a kiss on JJ's lips. "We were hungry, and I missed you." JJ smiles. "Aw missed you too Jayj. So what do you want to drink?" She questions. "I'll have a root beer," JJ says. "Oh me too." John B agrees. "Me three." Skylar smiles.
"I'm going to run to the bathroom," Skylar says excusing herself from the table and heading to the bathroom. As soon as she is locked in the stall three girls walk in. "I seriously can't believe it." The first girl says. "I know right? He is so fucking hot and that is the best he could do? Like seriously?" A second voice says. "How do you go from Sarah fucking Cameron to an overweight washed-up Pouge." The first voice repeats. Skylar flushes the toilet and opens the stall door. She knew they were talking about her, she previously thought John B was out of her league but now it was confirmed. First, she wanted to cry but she refused to let them know how deep the words cut her. The 3 girls go silent, eyes wide in shock."Hey Jenny. Hey, Carla. Macey." She smiles walking in between the group and washing her hands ignoring their looks. "Shit..." Jenny whispers. "Have a great day." She says with a sarcastic smile walking out and heading back to the table.
Skyler wanted to brush off their comment, but the words sunk deep. Landing on unhealed wounds from her past. She sat down beside her boyfriend her smile gone. "Hey, you alright?" John B questions immediately seeing the pained look on her face. "Yeah." She whispers her voice just below a whisper. John B frowned not believing her for a second but didn't want to push her. "Hey, you guys ready to order?" Kie questions. "Cheesesteak please," JJ says excited at the prospect of food. "I'll take a burger." John B ordered. "Cool, and you?" Kie questions looking to Skyler. She opened her mouth to order her usual but then the words from the bathroom popped back into her head. "Just a water please." She whispers looking down. "Nothing to eat?" Kie double-checks. "No." She says quickly. John B placed a hand on her knee which had started bouncing anxiously. "Alright. It will be out soon." Kie says kissing JJ's cheek and walking back. "You just said you were hungry. Are you sure?" John B frowns concerned. "Yes! I'm not hungry!" She snaps a little more aggressive than intended. "Shit... I'm sorry." She whispers watching John Bs face darken. He removed his hand from her thigh and turned his attention to JJ who was wising he could sink into the floor.
The food came, the boys immediately digging in while Skyler's brain wracked up how many calories she had already consumed. How many days she would have to starve herself for to be skinny. "Hey, Skylar... Do you have a second?" Macey questions stopping by the table. "No," Skylar whispers fiddling with her ring. "Just a second, I just need to apologize." Macy pleads. "It's fine." Skyler muttered avoiding her boyfriend's gaze. "It's not fine... What she said, it wasn't ok at all. You're beautiful." Macey started. "I said it was fine. Please leave." Skyler said louder growing more and more anxious. "You're not even eating anything. Skyler, you don't need to do that to yourself." Macey frowns concerned. Skyler rolled her eyes suddenly flooded with anger. She grabs her phone and walks away, "Skyler!" John B calls after her. She just keeps walking leaving her boyfriend without an explanation.
The next day
Skyler returned to the Chateau the next morning incredibly embarrassed for her scene the day before. When John B opened the door he looked both annoyed and relieved at the same time. "I called you." He frowns. "I know... I'm sorry. I brought donuts. Peace offering?" She questions holding up a bag with John Bs favorite doughnut and coffee. "Yeah. Come in." He sighed opening the door. "You don't want one?" He questions seeing there was only one doughnut in the bag. "Uh no... I already ate." She mutters. "So what happened yesterday?" John B questions. "I um I wasn't feeling myself. I'm sorry." She whispers. "Macey told me what happened." John B whispers voice gentle. Skyler frowns eyes widening. "What do you mean?" She rushes out. "That her, Jenny and Carla said some awful things about you, and your weight. She mentioned you've struggled with an eating disorder before." John B hesitantly adds. "It's not her place to tell you that." Skyler mumbles awkwardly. "Baby..." John B sighs pulling her into a hug seeing the tears fill her eyes. "Am I just a rebound?" Skyler whimpered. "What? No! Why would you even ask that?" John B shouts shocked. "I'm not anything like Sarah fucking Cameron. I'm not skinny or blonde or rich. I'm a washed up overweight Pouge as half the island agrees." She cries into his chest. "Hey. Don't ever talk like that Baby. You are not overweight, not at all. You are beautiful, and smart and silly. And I- I love you." John B stammers pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "I was so worried about you when Macey told me. I was also so upset that someone as gorgeous as you could trick yourself into thinking you are not. You aren't a rebound Skye. You're the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with."
