The next morning, Y/n was entangled in Adrian's arms. He was asleep, holding her tightly. "Adrian." said Y/n softly. He held her tighter when she pulled herself up. "Adrian."

"Hm?" mumbled Adrian softly, not opening his eyes.

"It's nearly six in the morning." said Y/n getting up. Adrian groaned and pulled her back into his chest.

"Let's stay like this a little longer." said Adrian, squeezing her tightly. Y/n chuckled and pulled herself away from him, pulling him up with her. "Ughhh."

"Come on." said Y/n, pulling his hands. Adrian grabbed his cloak, the two walking out of the portrait.

"It's too early." said Adrian rubbing his eyes. Y/n rolled her eyes and pushed him into the Slytherin common room.

"That's good, then nobody will see us!" said Y/n. Adrian gave her a look and made his way up the stairs. "I don't mean it like that."

"Hm." said Adrian looking at her. "I'll see you in a bit then?"

"Yes." said Y/n opening the girls dorm. Adrian narrowed his eyebrows and entered the boys dorm, the both of them closing the door behind them.

When Y/n entered her dorm, all the girls were asleep. Y/n grabbed a fresh pair of robes and entered the bathroom, she stayed in the shower for about an hour. She came out to see Marcella getting ready. "Marcella. . ." said Y/n softly.

"Don't." said Marcella, looking away from her.

"Please, the last thing I wanted to do was hurt you." said Y/n moving closer towards her.

"But you did anyways." said Marcella narrowing her eyebrows.

"I— I, me and him didn't do anything while you two were together." said Y/n softly. "I know how it sounds and how it seems but please, just let me explain it to you."

"Merlin Y/n, you're suppose to be my best friend and you slept with him." said Marcella, her eyes watering. "He loves you!"

"I knew how much you fancied him! That's why I always tried to stay away, I promise I didn't do it purposely!" said Y/n watching Marcella grab her things and make her way towards the door. "Mar!"

"No, fuck you and him!" said Marcella pointing her finger towards her. She opened the door, Y/n following her out.

"Marcella, please!" said Y/n, the two hurrying down the stairs.

"How do you want me to speak to you when you two have literally been in love?!" shouted Marcella. Y/n stopped and made a face. "C'mon? He loves you and here was I, the stupid one falling for him! You could've told me!"

"HOW! HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO TELL YOU!" shouted Y/n blinking away her tears. "You hardly spoke to me at all! All it ever was, oh Adrian this, Adrian that!"

The boys had been coming down the stairs to hear the girls. Adrian made a face and turned to Miles. "Let merlin forgive you because I never will! I LOST BOTH OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME!"

Y/n stared back at her, tears falling down both their eyes. "I didn't want to hurt you." said Y/n softly. Marcella looked away wiping her tears. The students in the Slytherin common had been staring. "You're my best friend."

"Was." said Marcella. Y/n looked away as Adrian sighed, placing his hand on her shoulder. Marcella watched him try and comfort Y/n with his touch. "You were my best friend before you lied to me about this."

Marcella stormed out of the common room, Adrian wiped Y/n's tears as she turned up to face him. Graham narrowed his eyebrows, watching the two of them. "Unbelievable." said Cassius walking out of the room, going after Marcella.
