( October '93 )
Cassandra walked to the Great Hall for breakfast with Hermione. The Hogsmeade trip was today and Cassandra still hadn't got her form signed. The girls sat down at the Gryffindor table where Harry and Ron were already sitting.
Harry was reading the Daily Prophet, Ron was too busy eating, and Hermione dove right into a book. It seemed like they were acting a little weird to Cassandra. She didn't know what was going on.
"Cassandra?" A familiar voice said behind Cassandra.
Cassandra turned around revealing Blair Zabini.
"Oh my goodness, Blair?" Cassandra beamed. She got up to hug Blair.
"It's so nice to see you Cas. Will you come sit with me?" Blair asked.
"I'll be back." Cassandra said. "I didn't know you were a Hufflepuff. You never mentioned it in any of your letters."
"That's because I thought being a Hufflepuff wasn't cool. My family is all Slytherins, you know." Blair explained. "But now, I see it differently."
They sat down at an empty seat at the Hufflepuff table. A familiar face was staring at her.
"Oh hey, Cedric, right?" Cassandra asked.
"Yep. Cassandra right?" Cedric replied.
"That's me." Cassandra said.
"How do you two know each other?" Blair asked.
"I accidentally bumped into him." Cassandra explained.
"Oh that makes sense. You are always bumping into people." Blair laughed. Cassandra chuckled.

Cassandra wandered the castle halls. She thought she was the only person left behind in her year until she bumped into Harry.
"Oh hey Harry. I didn't know you were here." Cassandra greeted.
"Yep. I'm left behind because I haven't got a signed permission slip." Harry explained. "How about you?"
"The same." Cassandra replied.
"Would you like to go under the invisibility cloak with me?" Harry asked. "We could sneak out to Hogsmeade."
"Sure, I'd be delighted." Cassandra said.
Harry put the cloak over Cassandra. Their footsteps were seen in the snow. It was October and it was already snowing outside.
The Weasley Twins were making a snowman when Harry and Cassandra passed by.The twins grabbed Harry and Cassandra.
"Guys let us go!" Harry exclaimed.
"Clever Harry." Fred said. "Can't believe you roped in poor innocent Cassie."
"Yes, clever, but not clever enough. We've got a better plan." George said.
"Guys, we're really trying to get to Hogsmeade." Cassandra explained.
"We know." Fred said.
"Don't worry, we'll get you there." George assured. Cassandra wasn't too sure about whatever plan they had cooking.
"We'll show you a quicker way if you two pipe down." Fred said.
Cassandra wasn't sure where they were leading her and Harry. Maybe they were using getting to Hogsmeade as an excuse to prank them.
"Now Harry, come and join the big boys." George said.
The twins took the invisibility cloak off of Harry and Cassandra.
"What are you doing?" Cassandra wondered.
"Shush." The twins said in unison. They handed Harry a blank piece of paper.
"What's this rubbish?" Harry asked.
"What's this rubbish he says." Fred said to George. "That there is the secret to our success."
"It's a wrench giving it to you two." George butted in.
"But we've decided that your needs are greater than ours. George, if you will." Fred explained.
George took his wand out and said, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
Writing started to appear on the paper. Cassandra blinked several times to see if her eyes were playing tricks on her.
"Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs and Mses. Sable are proud to present the Marauder's Map." Cassandra read out loud.
"We owe them so much." George said.
Cassandra opened up the paper to see the entire map of Hogwarts laid out in front of her.
"Hang on. This is Hogwarts." Harry said, stating the obvious. "And these footprints?"
"So this map shows-" Cassandra was abruptly cut off by Fred.
"Everyone."
"Everyone?" Harry asked.
"Where they are, what they're doing, every minute, of every day." The twins said, taking turns saying a line.
"Brilliant." Harry said.
"Where did you get it?" Cassandra asked.
"Nicked it from Filch's office, of course." Fred stated like it was obvious. "First year."
"Now listen. There are seven passageways out of the castle. We'd recommend this one." George said, pointing on the map. "The One-Eyed Witch passageway. It will lead you straight to the Honeydukes cellar."
"Best to hurry." Fred said. "Filch is heading this way."
"Oh and don't forget, when you're done, just give it a tap and say Mischief Managed." George reminded. "Otherwise, anyone can read it."
Harry and Cassandra smiled at the twins before running off underneath the invisibility cloak. While in Hogsmeade, Cassandra and Harry did some shopping, gave Draco a little bit of his own medicine, and had a snowball fight with Hermione and Ron.
Hermione really didn't approve of having the map but Cassandra and Harry kept it anyway. Ron thought having the map was a brilliant idea and Hermione got mad at him for that. Hermione was always protective and wary of the rules.
From then on, Harry and Cassandra used the map whenever they snuck out to Hogsmeade and whenever they just wanted to spy. They spied a lot on Draco to see if he was doing anything he wasn't supposed to do.
Cassandra noticed that her dad had spent a lot of time in his room and not out with the other professors. She wondered if he was hiding anything from her. It wasn't odd for him to hide things from her, it just hurt if he did. He hid cookies from her once and it made her cry for two days. Yes, she was just five but if he were to hide something bigger than cookies, it will do a lot of damage.
Cassandra had loved spending time with Remus in her spare time. They were getting along like how they were years ago. She had also been spending time with Blair and her friends. It was good for Cassandra to finally be out and social.
