Cassandra and Harry watched as Voldemort was talking to Snape. Cassandra felt her heart beating and it felt like it was beating a thousand miles per second. They couldn't hear much of what was going on inside.

Suddenly, commotion was happening inside and Cassandra saw Voldemort slit Snape's neck.

"Nagini, kill." Voldemort ordered.

Nagini bit Snape multiple times. Upon witnessing this, Cassandra's eyes were filled with tears. The four of them entered the building after Voldemort and Nagini left. Snape was still lying against the glass, dying. Cassandra and Harry rushed over to him and Cassandra put her hand over his neck. Snape looked into Cassandra's eyes and started crying.

"Take them." Snape pleaded. "Take them please. Take them to pensieve."

Hermione passed Cassandra a flask and she gathered Snape's tears.

"I had to play my part, Cassandra." Snape started. "I'm sorry. Look at me."

Cassandra and Harry looked at Snape as he instructed.

"You have your mother's eyes." Snape said before taking his last breaths.

"No!" Cassandra yelled, tears running down her face. "No!"

Harry wrapped his arms around Cassandra and practically carried her into the Great Hall. Cassandra earned looks from some of the students and professors. She was confused as to why they were looking at her like that.

It all made sense when she saw Sirius and Brooklyn standing over two bodies, absolutely sobbing. Cassandra ran over to them and noticed that Tonks and Remus were laying on the ground.

Cassandra sank to her knees and started sobbing.

"Where's Jack?" Cassandra asked Brooklyn.

"I don't know." Brooklyn replied in between sobbing.

Cassandra's head whipped around to where she heard more crying. Fred's body was laying on the floor as well. Cassandra's eyes immediately met George's. More tears started to stream down Cassandra's face. She got up and walked over to George where the two embraced in a hug. They let go of each other upon hearing a gasp of air.

Fred sat up and put his hand on his chest.

"I'm alive?" Fred asked.

"How are you alive?" Molly asked. "We didn't find a pulse. What was the last thing you remembered?"

"I almost got crushed by a wall." Fred said, looking around at his family. "Until Draco Malfoy pushed me out of the way."

"Malfoy?" Ron asked.

"Is he okay?" Cassandra asked, worry written on her face.

"Yeah." Fred responded. "He's okay. He moved before the wall could crush him or hit it with a spell, I don't remember. I still have to thank him though."

Cassandra and Harry left them to talk, heading up to Dumbledore's office. They walked over to the pensieve, placing Snape's memories in there. They lowered their heads into the pensieve and watched as the world around them changed.

There were two girls, one brunette and one redhead. The red haired girl held out a dead daisy to the other girl and the daisy grew back to life.

"Freak." Petunia said. "I'm going to tell mummy. You're a freak. You're a freak, Lily."

A black haired boy came out of the tree that Lily was standing by and scared off Petunia just by looking at her.

"She's jealous." Snape said. "She's ordinary and you're special."

"That's mean, Severus." Lily said.

The image shifted to McGonagall placing the sorting hat on Lily's head.

"Gryffindor!" The hat yelled.

Lily smiled and sat down at the Gryffindor table.

"Hi, I'm James." James Potter said.

"Hi, I'm Lily." Lily replied, shaking his hand.

The next couple of images changed so fast that Cassandra could barely register what happened. The image changed again to Snape and Dumbledore in Dumbledore's office.

"The prophecy did not refer to a woman." Dumbledore said. "It spoke of a boy and girl born at the end of July."

"Yes." Snape replied. "But he thinks it's her daughter and son. He intends to hunt them down now and kill them. Hide her. Hide them all, I beg you."

"What would you give me in exchange, Severus?" Dumbledore asked.

"Anything." Snape answered.

The image changed again to Voldemort killing Lily and attempting to kill the Potter twins.

"You said that you were going to keep her safe!" Snape exclaimed as the image shifted again.

"Lily and James put their faith in the wrong person." Dumbledore said. "The boy and girl survived."

"They don't need protection." Snape said. "The dark lord is gone."

"The dark lord will return." Dumbledore said. "And when he does, the twins will be in terrible danger. They have her eyes."

The image changed again and showed Dumbledore wearing Marvolo Gaunt's ring.

"It will contain the curse on your hand for the time being." Snape said. "It will spread. You have maybe a year."

"Don't ignore me, Severus." Dumbledore said. "We both know that Lord Voldemort has ordered the Malfoy boy to murder me. And I shall presume the dark lord will turn to you. You must be the one to kill me, Severus. It is the only way. Only then, will the dark lord trust you completely. There will come a time, when Harry and Cassandra Potter must be told something. But you must wait until Voldemort is at his most vulnerable."

"Must be told what?" Snape asked.

"On the night that Lord Voldemort went to Godric's Hollow to kill Harry and Cassandra, Lily Potter cast herself between them and the curse rebounded." Dumbledore said. "When that happened, a part of Voldemort's soul latched itself onto the only living thing it could find. Harry and Cassandra themselves. There's a reason they can speak to snakes. There's a reason they could look into Voldemort's mind. A part of Voldemort is inside them."

"So when the time comes, the twins must die."

"Yes. Yes they must die."

"You've kept them alive so they could die at the proper moment. You've been raising them like pigs for slaughter."

"Don't tell me that you've grown to care for them?"

"Expecto patronum." Snape said, waving his wand.

A silver doe came out of the wand and danced around the room.

"Lily? After all this time?"

"Always." Snape replied. "So when the time comes, the twins must die?"

"Yes, they must die. And Voldemort must do it. That is essential."

The twins took their heads out of the pensieve.

Cassandra started sobbing.

"I knew we would have to die, Harry." Cassandra cried. "I've been knowing since we had the vision that led us to Hogwarts in the first place. I didn't want to say anything so I wouldn't worry you. I'm sorry."

Harry just leapt forward and held Cassandra in his arms.
