Severus Snape ordered all the students to get out of bed and into the Great Hall. They marched down the hallways as Cassandra and Harry hid among them. The twins gripped each other's hands as tightly as possible. Cassandra felt like she was going to make a noise and accidentally give their position away. Snape entered the Great Hall, his cloak billowing out behind him. He turned around dramatically and painfully slow. As he did so, Cassandra felt a sort of betrayal from him.

"Many of you are surely wondering why I have summoned you at this hour." Snape said. "It's come to my attention that earlier this evening, Harry and Cassandra Potter were spotted in Hogsmeade."

Whispers broke out through the crowd of students. Cassandra noticed that standing not too far from her was Blaise Zabini and his eyebrows raised as Snape spoke.

"Now, should anyone, student or staff, attempt to aid the Potter twins, they would be punished in a manner consistent with the severity of their transgression." Snape continued speaking. "Furthermore, any person found to have knowledge of these events who fails to come forward, will be treated as equally guilty. Now then, if anyone here has any knowledge of the Potter twins' movements this evening, I invite them to step forward. Now."

Everyone was silent. Nobody dared to move or say anything.

"I happen to know the whereabouts of Cassandra and Harry Potter." Cassandra said, stepping out of the crowd. "It seems despite your exhaustive defensive strategies, we still have a bit of a security problem headmaster."

The Order of the Phoenix burst in through the doors.

Cassandra stared down Snape and he stared back at her. Cassandra held her head high, determined to not let him see how badly he had hurt her.

"How dare you stand where he stood." Harry said. "Tell them how it happened that night. Tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man that trusted you and killed him. Tell them."

Snape took out his wand and McGonagall pushed the twins out of the way. Gasps were echoing off the walls and the students backed up against them. McGonagall shot spells at Snape but he blocked them, only blocked. He then left through the window as everybody gasped. Cheers were spread out through the hall as McGonagall put fire on the candles again.

As everybody was applauding, Harry and Cassandra fell to the floor. Everybody must have heard the whispers because they looked around warily. A girl started screaming and covering her ears. Cassandra got up to take a look at the girl. She was so pale and another girl started screaming as well.

"I know that many of you want to fight." Voldemort said. "Some of you may even think that divide is why but this is folly. Give me Harry and Cassandra Potter. Do this and none shall be harmed. You give me the Potter twins and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched. Give me the Potter twins and you will be rewarded. You have one hour."

"What are you waiting for?" Pansy Parkinson shrieked. "Someone grab them!"

"Shut it pug face." Cassandra snapped.

"Students out of bed!" Filch yelled as he entered the hall holding Mrs. Norris. "Students in the corridor."

"They are supposed to be out of bed, you blithering idiot." McGonagall snapped.

"Oh." Filch said. "Sorry ma'am."

"As it happens Mr. Filch, your arrival is most opportune." McGonagall said. "I would like you to please lead Miss Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin house from the hall."

"Where is it exactly that I would be leading them to ma'am?" Filch asked.

"The dungeons would do." McGonagall said. "Is there anything you two would need me to do?"

"We need time." The twins answered in unison.

"Go to the chamber of secrets and destroy the cup." Cassandra instructed Ron and Hermione. "Harry and I will check out Ravenclaw tower."

"You're actually giving us permission to do this?" Neville asked McGonagall as they walked outside.

"That is correct, Longbottom." McGonagall nodded.

"To blow it up? Boom?" Neville asked.

"Boom!" McGonagall answered.

"Wicked." Neville smiled. "How on earth are we going to do that?"

"Why don't you confer with Mr. Finnigan?" McGonagall suggested. "As I recall, he has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics."

"I can bring it down." Seamus grinned.

"That is the spirit." McGonagall said. "Away you go."

Neville and Seamus headed off towards the bridge while McGonagall, Molly Weasley and Flitwick stood at the entrance of the school.

"You do realize, of course, we can't keep out You-Know-Who indefinitely." Flitwick said.

"That doesn't mean we can't delay him." McGonagall said. "And his name is Voldemort, Filius! You might as well use it. He's going to try to kill you either way. Piertotum locomotor. Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school!"

McGonagall then nudged Molly.

"I've always wanted to use that spell." McGonagall grinned.
