Not So Bad

You are the queen of shadows. Darkness and dwelling. Y/n's a perfect name, too. You use your powers to make enemy's miserable and sad to inflict damage to themselves. All except one enemy. You hated him the most. He always blocks your attacks, then brags about it. Dark Pit. You cringe every time you hear his name. Every time you see him you head in the opposite direction or ignore him. Every time he attempts to talk to you, you sink in the shadows, after sending him a cold glare. But what you didn't know is that he wanted to tell you something, badly.

Today was a day off throughout the whole SSB Mansion. No training, fighting, nor screaming. You sigh in a neutral way, you never really smile or laugh, you did before your parents and siblings died in a fire. You were the only survivor, only because you were staying at a friends house. After you heard your whole family died, darkness consumed your soul. Your words ended up darker than your scowl. Every threat that left your mouth stung people like they were stabbed nearly to death. Always turning pale and chickening out... All except for one brave soul. Dark pit. You hated him to death.

You walk to your room and look out your window, seeing Dark Pit sitting under your Willow Tree. You hate it when he did that, because he knew you would try to shoo him away. You sigh, knowing your free day is going to be a major train wreckage. You create shadow wings on your back and fly down to Dark Pit. "Move it or lose it, Pit Boy." You say threateningly. "Who's gonna make me?" He asks with a sly smirk. "Me." You say. "You and what army?" He asks. You created a shadow army yet frowned.

"This army." You counter. "Alright alright. Only if you answer my one question." He said acting all cocky. "Lay it on me." You say. "Do you, I dunno, like someone here, or whatever?" He asks. "What kind of question is that?" You ask. "Just answer!" He growls. "Ugh no." You reply. "Great! Smell ya later!" He yells flying off. You make several shadow warriors throw various shadow weapons at him, still wondering what that question was about. You sit on your bed, pondering. "What could it mean?" You ask yourself. You walk outside of your room and walk out back to a gleaming lake view.

You hum a song to yourself and dip your hand into the lake. This was the Lake of Sorrowful Tears. They say if you listen close enough you could hear the cries of dying, suffering and pained people and animals. You surge darkness into the lake, just as Luigi walks by. He stares at the newly made nightmare. He steps back and starts shaking like crazy. You give him a frown and walk closer to him. "Tell this to anyone, I will make you wish shadows never existed." You say coldly. Luigi nods quickly and runs to safety. The Lake is now full of nightmares now.

You left the lake and started walking towards the Mansion again. Everyone either fled or was too paralyzed to do anything at all near you. Their fear made you feel better, but not good enough. You walk past them with nightmare tears falling from your hands. Ness and Lucas hugged each other protectively as Ash retreats with his Pokémon. Link stands in front of Zelda protectingly as Toon Link hugs his leg. Mewtwo stands in front of Lucario, Pikachu, and GigglyPuff, with one arm spread out straight in front of their faces. You walk in and head back to sleep.

You step inside your room and sigh. "Today was a real day." You say. It was only 3 in the afternoon but you took a nap until 6 and stretched as you awoke. You heard everyone's gossips and rumors. But it didn't bother you. It made you feel feared of, but that's what you want until you feel emotions again. You jump out the window and fly around, seeing everyone happy made you feel weird. But whatever. You see Dark Pit staring at you but he quickly looks away. You decide to ask him about the question he asked 4 hours ago. "Hey PitBoy!" You yell landing behind him. "Yeah?" He asks not facing you.

"What was it about that question if I liked anyone here?" You ask glaring at the back of his head. "Y/N I..." He started. You shake your head. "Spit it out, I need the honest to dead truth too, I know your one for lying." You say, growling slightly. "Look, Y/N, I...I really like you." Dark Pit admits. "You should be a comedian someday." You say. Little did you know your lover was serious. "I'm not kidding Y/n." He mumbles staring intently into your E/C eyes. He flashes you a grin. "What? Cat got your tongue?" He asks. "No, but how could you like a Shadow Queen like me?" You ask. "It doesn't matter who you are outside, it just depends on the person inside."

Dark Pit says reasonably. "I guess you are correct, but you don't know me." You retort. "Or do I? When we were kids we told each other everything." Dark Pit says, now facing you. "Wait, so we used to be childhood friends?" You ask. "We would cause trouble everywhere, make people laugh, then afterwards scream and run?" He asks. You recall only him as a friend. "I missed you." You mumble without any realization there.

"Y/N? Can we be more than, um, friends?" Dark Pit asks with red scattered among his face. You hug him. "Of coarse silly." You say. Dark Pit smiles and hugs back, after a minuet or two he pulls away and his lips connect with yours. You both pull away for air, and you smile as Dark Pit smiles back. "Now there's the smile I needed so badly." Dark Pit says. "Your not so bad after all." You say nuzzling your face into Dark's chest. "Love you." He says. "I love me too." You say teasingly. He nudges you playfully. "Fine fine! Love you too, Dark." You say as Dark hugs you. "That's better." He says.
Not all people seem bad when you give them a second chance.
