There was a tournament starting, and with you being shy, anxiety took over your state of mind. "Now, there WILL be partners, everyone participates to earn a place 5th to 1st." Master Hands voice booms out. It was always a mystery, how he can talk without a mouth. Master Hand was going through the list of partners. "Rosalina and Luigi, Bayonetta and Cloud(correct me if I'm wrong X3 but I think that's a character), Zelda and Toon Link. Then we have Palutena and Pit, Y/n and Ike, Peach and Mario." Master Hand says and continues.

You space off for a second. "Ike and Me? Oh boy...I can't brawl! My magic isn't stable enough for this!" You think to yourself. "The rules are simple. If you are to cheat, you AND your partner will be put into last place. If you are to get out of control, you will sit out, and the tournament will be put on hold. Anyone who would like to change partners can do so, but you need reason. If you need a break, call timeout. Battles will stop immediately and you will tell us your reason for a timeout. You can report cheating, unfairness, and/or behavior, but need evidence for canceling tournament activities, Understood?" Master Hand explained.

"Yes." Everyone says, with several different answers, such as: Maybe, yeah, or whatever. You sigh and stare at your hands. You could be reported for behavior. You have extreme power that no one can handle, occasionally even you... You felt someone place a hand on your shoulder, so you look up. "Hey Y/n." Ike greets happily. You smile in return. "Hi." You reply simply. "I can't wait for this tournament!" Ike exclaimed excitedly. You feel your face redden. "Did you, um, catch the part where it begins?" You ask shyly, folding your f/c wings behind your back.

"Yeah, in 3 months. Master Hand's giving us a huge opportunity to train." Ike replied. "That should be enough time..." You mumble. Ike's smile falters a little. "Listen, Y/n...I've known you for a while...and I know you can't control your powers easily as Ness, or Lucario. That's absolutely fine. We all have our advantages and disadvantages, but you have other ways to attack besides your powers." Ike says. You REALLY didn't need him to help. You felt embarrassed that he was trying to tell you how to use your own powers.

"You don't need to help. I'll be fine." You say, walking off. "Y/n..." Ike sighs. Ike follows you to the training grounds, determined to help you. "I got this...Ike." You say stubbornly, but quietly. Ike gives you a sad look. "Don't give me the puppy eyes. They never work anyways." You say with a soft smile. "Psh. Puppy eyes work. You're just cold." Ike states. "No, the only reason they don't work is because you're too old for that look." You joke. Ike chuckles and trains himself.

You meditate, but Ike interrupts you. "Slacking off already I see." Ike says, you could already tell he's smirking. Lucario taught you this trick before, it's a sense that enables you to close your eyes and sense objects nearby and even farther away. You also have the power to use sound as a navigator, kinda like a bat. Anyway, you sense Ike walking closer, ready to playfully attack. Ike lunges, but you fly up with your wings, causing Ike to hit the tree you sat under. "I'll MEDITATE here instead." You call to Ike from inside the tree. "What? No apology for not giving me a soft landing?" Ike asks. You throw an apple at him, which lands on his sword and gets cut in half.

"Ha! You missed!" Ike yells playfully. "Please, Ike. You know very well I never miss." You say slyly.  Ike was bombarded with apples that fell from the tree. "Thanks for the snack." Ike thanks. "No problem. By the way, I used magic to spawn those, this is a willow tree, not an apple tree, Ike." You say. "I honestly just want apples now, thanks Y/n for this annoying craving." Ike thanks once more. "Oh hush. Let me meditate and focus my REAL power." You silence him.
