Y/n had been in Borderlands for 2 weeks, she had already collected 8 cards, completing each game with no friends, as she had entered the borderlands alone. She promised herself she would never get close to anyone, as she had seen what this game could cause between friendships, especially the heart games.

After she completed her 8th game, being one of the only 3 survivors, she began walking back to a apartment she had found when she first arrived.

As she was approaching the door to the apartment she heard quiet footsteps slowly following behind her. She spun around fearing who it could be or what they could want.
She recognised the man from the previous game, he wore a white jacket with the hood pulled over, almost covering his face, but his eyes were locked onto hers.
//
He had a slight grin on his face as his lips slightly parted.
"Nice place you have here, are you staying here alone?"
He smirked to himself and raised his eyebrows.

You didn't know how to answer, he could of been capable of anything if he knew you were alone. You saw what people were like in this place.

"I...I'm waiting for friends" you stuttered. You turned back around and quickly tried to open the door.
You felt an hand reach behind you, reclosing it and his breath on your neck.

"Your ability to lie isn't as good as your game skills" he chucked to himself. "I've been watching you, you're pretty good, I'm Chishiya"

You spun back around to face him, his face just inches from yours. You pushed him back slightly.

"What do you want?" You said between clenched teeth.
He didn't drop the grin from his face.

"I was just curious about you" he placed his hands in his pockets and shrugged at you.

"Well, is that all?" You stared back at him trying to figure him out. He seemed quiet and reserved from the 2 games you have previously played with him, what was his problem now?

"You seem like you can handle yourself, I have a proposition" his eyes still locked onto yours. You stared back without answering, you didnt notice how good he looked before. He raised his eyebrows as he awaited your answer.

"Depends on what it is?" You questioned, still not breaking eye contact.

"I can take you to a place you wouldn't of thought to exist in a place like this, while you're there everything might even start to feel normal for a while". He edged closer to you again still staring deep into your eyes. "It involves a lot of team work to collect the cards, we all come together as a group to defeat this game".

You looked downwards, you didn't like the thought of teamwork, or making friends. You didn't like the thought of losing someone close to you. You stood and thought about it for a while, until his calming voice broke your trance.

"You never know, you might like it...or..or..you can leave?".

He seemed to question his own statement, which made you unsure. But his soothing aura seemed to reassure you. What's the worst that could happen, right?

You nodded and he put out his arm for you to take hold of.

He led you to a car, he opened the door for you and nodded for you to get inside. As the door slammed shut you had a feeling of uncertainty but excitement. Would it really feel like the old world there?

You seemed to be driving for a long time, as it was now dark. The car seemed to slow down outside what looked like a hotel. Before you even opened the door you could hear laughter and music.

"Welcome to the beach" Chishiya said with a grin, staring deep into your eyes again. "Shall we go inside?"
