//Y/n POV
//My eyes were firmly closed, so much so it began to hurt. I could feel tears forcing their way out and running down my cheeks. I was holding on to Nirgas body so tightly, both my arms and legs wrapped around him as he was kneeling on the floor. Sat waiting for him to fall lifeless onto me. Waiting to hear the bang of the gun, waiting to feel the splatters of his warm blood strewn across my face. Waiting to hear him take his final breath.
But none of that came.
Just a quiet "click".
I was still too scared to open my eyes, although I could still feel Niragis heart beating onto my clenched hand.
The quietness soon filled with laughter. Niragis laughter.
My eyes shot open to the sound of his voice, echoing through the silent corridor.
"You do know you're supposed to load the gun, right?" Niragas leaned back into me, trying to catch his breath from laughing so much. As I looked passed him, Chishiya was still holding the gun up, froze in place. His eyes were wide. His gaze slowly made its way over to me, I saw him take the biggest gulp.
"I can't believe you were that desperate to kill me, you didn't even to check to see if the gun was loaded" Niragi said, still slightly laughing. "Let me guess, its from the cabinet in the executive room? You think the militants would leave loaded weapons just laying around for anyone to take? You really do think we're stupid" Niragi suddenly stopped laughing and his voice turned malicious.
He began to stand up, me too as I still clung to him.
I was worried to what he would do to Chishiya.
I never wanted any of them to die. But I can't believe Chishiya was actually going to kill Niragi.
"You need to go Chishiya" I quietly said in his direction.
Niragi just laughed.
"I think Chishiya needs to stay" Niragi responded, as I looked towards him his eyes had turn crazy.
He grabbed hold of Chishiyas jacket and pulled him into his room, chucking him at a table.
"I'm going to give Chishiya a little lesson on how guns work!" Niragi shouted as he went to pick up his rifle. I got to it first.
"Give me it!" Niragi screamed at me as he tried to snatch the gun from me.
"No! Please just stop this the both of you!" I yelled back, tears streaming down my face.
Niragi tried to wrestle the gun from me, but I just fell to the ground, I give up.
Niragi frowned at me as he finally had the gun in his grasp, resting it on Chishiyas head.
Chishiya closed his eyes as if to prepare what was coming. I noticed Niragi turn his head to look at me, cradled on the floor. A look of sorrow flooded his eyes.
Niragi let out a low growl.
"Get the fuck out of here" he quietly said under his breath, and returned his gaze towards Chishiya.
Chishiya and I thought he was talking to me.
"GO! Before I change my mind!" He shouted, now realising he had meant Chishiya the first time.
Chishiya looked helpless towards me, but I just closed my eyes.
I heard Chishiyas soft, but quick footsteps exit the room, the door slamming behind him.
I felt Niragis arms wrap round me, lifting me from the floor. He laid me on the bed, and just laid there with me in silence.
After a while I took a deep breath, before speaking.
"What stopped you from killing Chishiya?" I questioned Niragi. I could see him thinking as his eyes moved towards the ceiling. He sighed.
"I couldn't do that to you" he answered, clenching his jaw.
I couldn't belive it, Niragi had wanted Chishiya dead for a long time. But Niragi had put my feelings before his own. Something I never thought I would see happen.
Something really had changed in him. I couldn't work him out.
We just sat in the darkness, my head now resting on his chest. I could feel his fingers playing with my hair and his breathing was shallow.
"You need to sleep" Niragi said gently kissing my head.
"I'm too scared" I whispered "what if Chishiya comes back? I don't want to lose you".
I can't believe it. I'm now scared of Chishiya. How the tables have turned in just one day. My head was a mess. I really should sleep, but I fear what will happen if I do.
Chishiya could come back or Niragi could leave to find him while I'm not there to witness what happens.
"He won't come back" Niragi whispered back, kissing my head.
"I'm pretty sure he will be avoiding me for a while" he sort of let out a little chuckle.
"I want you to find him tomorrow. I want you to speak to him" Niragi said quite abruptly. Why would he want me to see Chishiya? He's spent all the time I've known him trying to keep him away from me. Now he wants me to speak to him alone?
"I trust you y/n. I don't trust him, but I know he won't hurt you" he sighed to himself. "I want you to tell him to stay away. If he hears it from you, it might sink in" Niragi added, pulling me closer for a tighter cuddle.
"I don't want you to see the horrid side to me anymore y/n, maybe in games, but not at The Beach. Chishiya will always bring that out in me for as long as he's alive, and you don't deserve to see that. I know how disgusting you think I am when I act like that. I can see it in your eyes. You're scared of me. I don't want to push you away". Niragi took a deep breath, as if he was attempting to hold back tears. That can't be right. Niragi would never cry. Unless, his words are true and he does love me. But that just seems too surreal. Niragi only truly cares for himself.
But something has definitely changed in him today. I just wish I knew what, maybe then we could actually be happy.
But what about Chishiya? Where does that leave him and I?
