Chapter Fifteen: Ideas and Thoughts

In the morning, Mono went on a mission with Geneviene and Heelix somewhere on an island. I wasn't sent on any missions. I was planning on running back to L.A! This time I would run back when I got the chance to really leave! My parents were informed that my sister would be on her mission with her fiancé for even longer.. She had engaged to her partner she was working with on her mission there.. Not Heelix.. Some else dude! I was just left at the force to sit to my thoughts and I created some new ideas.. I thought of ways of killing myself, but I was being watched, monitored, and studied.. But it felt like no one was there.

I had an interrogation coming soon. They interrogated everyone who was on our rigged mission. Now they were admitting it was rigged! If Myers had never asked.. I probably wouldn't have been getting an interrogation, but he asked for me to have one. That's why I was sitting at The LEAGUE.. I was waiting. They said I could go home after. I made the mistake of coming here, trying to help others! Now I'm in the same situation I was in when I left..

I shared a room with this guy I got to know and his girlfriend. He honestly reminded me a lot of Cade and his girlfriend reminded me of Alice. The LEAGUE wouldn't let me stay alone in a room so I had to share a small room with this couple and a bunk bed. The guy's name was Liam, and his girl was Syria. They slept on the top and I slept on the bottom.. And it pissed me off because at night they didn't fall asleep and they would be loud enough for me to hear.

I didn't know much about Liam, just that he was strong and you could definitely tell that because he was in shape! His girl, Syria was able to do this thing where she could heighten people's senses! Like making them hear sounds louder, and maybe touch? Well.. I'm sure Liam had that figured out! If you thought it was hot, she could make you feel like you were walking through the core of the sun! Or if you thought you were cold, you'd think you'd be in a freezer!

I didn't talk much to Liam at first and I definitely wasn't trying to get on Syria's nerves! I was already feeling too much.. But I had her mistaken for Alice.. Before I would sleep I would think about how Alice used to make me feel. How she could slow down any thoughts I was having that didn't make me happy or help me become more calm in situations where I couldn't control my anger.

They knew my situation.. I would just sleep all day then sit down at my desk sketching.. And I used to draw Mono. But the worse part living here was that there was no way to relieve my sexual frustrations. It would all just manifest into more anger because The LEAGUE had all my favorite porn sites blocked! But that one night I decided to try and listen when Liam and Syria were being too loud, but I ended up
envisioning Astrid's teeth biting down on that cucumber.

You could tell Liam and Syria were in love.. They'd always sneak out together, but what made it more memorable is that they'd wait until curfew to leave. I didn't know where they were going and I didn't care. I just sat at my desk with my sketches. Then I heard something down the hall.. I tied my robe and followed the sound.

I saw Hayley in the cafeteria, but this caf. was only meant for staff.. Hayley, the captain from my first mission who lost her friend..

She looked depressed and dressed in baggy clothes now, but I did only see her in her combat outfit. And she didn't even say hi! She just rummaged through the fridge pulling out soda cans and a small turkey. I guess I didn't realize Thanksgiving had passed.. I spent all my days in that room and my roommates never cared to bother me. Thinking back, I still don't remember what day it was. "What? Are you gona tell Myers I'm eating the turkey he gives his underpaid staff every year? The smallest turkey he could find? I swear it gets smaller and smaller every year.."

Something better caught my attention.

I saw Mono walk out of the elevator with a boy arguing to her.. She was wearing a full body dark gray swimsuit, almost to her knees, with her arms fully covered and a second piece that looked like leg warmers to cover her legs. Her hair down and wet.. "I didn't have my shield!" They must have come back from their mission on that island.. They'd been gone for weeks.
