Chapter Eight: Costume

"Here it is! It's for your mission tomorrow!" I was appalled. "It's a size smaller so you'll fit in it.." She smiled as we both looked through the glass staring at my old suit. I studied it through the glass. The number three was on it. It was more basic then I remembered. "We'll need you to wear it for tomorrow's mission, Casper!" They never told me about a new mission. I guess the LEAGUE was just making me their slave again. "No thanks!" I said.

"Casper, you have to wear it!"
"No thanks!" I repeated.
I walked away.

That suit was designed to protect me, it hid the weak person I really was because it was a disguise to make me look stronger than I really was. It was designed by Myers. I was his lucky prodigy.

I drove to Katherine's complex. She answered the door and let me in. "Henry.." I walked through the door. "You took my keys?" She asked even more disappointed. "Yeah, but I apologized.. I had to get to the LEAGUE." I sat on her couch. "Casper you can't just take my car.." I didn't pay her any attention. I turned on the T.V. and watched whatever came on. She went back to her room.

I didn't feel good treating her that way, but it was what she was used to. It was for sure the best she's ever had after the way she was living. She had enough stress.

The sun was bright, blinding me through the opened blinds. I sat up on the couch with the T.V still on. I walked around Katherine's apartment, and she wasn't there. I walked in her room and saw her picture frame on her night stand.. A picture of her and her mother! She looked so happy! But she looked beautiful, the way I remembered. Her sister's picture was laying flat next to theirs without a frame. Her sister, so beautiful with gray eyes and dark black straight hair.. with the biggest smile! She looked genuinely happy, she always did! I'm sad that I killed her. She was gorgeous, her smile perfect. Her diamond earrings she always wore! A small velvet box sat next to it. I opened it to find the earrings..

"Casper?" Katherine spoke. I put it down. She moved aside and Jade came from behind. "Captain sent me here to get you.. I bought some groceries."

"Is she always like that?" Jade asked as we were sitting down on the couch eating the breakfast Katherine cooked for us. "Oh! You can't miss training!" She sat her plate on the couch. I walked to the door as she walked over to kiss Katherine at the stove on the cheek, while still chewing with food in her mouth.. Disgusting.

She couldn't wait to get out of Katherine's apartment!

"I mean, they give her, her own apartment and she gets depressed and treats the place like crap! Did you see the kitchen? And I don't agree with her leaving her sister at that public cemetery with everyone's ant, and grandma, and uncle.. Instead of having her own memorial like Alice! I mean if you died Casp, I would make sure they'd give you your own resting place! Not surrounded by a bunch of random people.. But I get it she wants to be closer to her dead sister, but The LEAGUE had the perfect place to rest Ashley!"

Katherine wanted her sister closer instead of her being buried at the LEAGUE.. She liked looking out her window to her sister.

"They didn't even let them build her a statue for Lord's sake!"

We drove to The LEAGUE.
