Chapter 27: Earn My Trust!

"Wake up Casper.." Casper woke up lying in the sand. Heelix helped him to sit up. "What was it, Casper?" "Someone.. Something came behind me and hit me?" "Great! Now we have enemies! Maybe this is a death mission after all." "No, no.. She.. She said my name?" "What?" Said Heelix. "So you've attracted YOUR enemies here to MY team-" Heelix cut Grace off to hear Henry speak clearly. "Heelix, how did she know my name?" "I don't care who it was, but they are dead if they come anywhere near my team!" Grace's team got out their spheres and trident. "Wait!" Heelix said, putting the back of his hand up to the team behind him. Grace put away her bow and arrow and got out her automatic bow and arrow instead. "What did she look like Casper?"

Casper explained her appearance to Heelix.

She stood on the sand with long brown hair and wore a green suit. She was an older woman. Around Grace's age.

Grace got offended when she heard that.

Heelix noticed a large gash on Casper's arm. He hadn't even felt that he was bleeding. Casper groaned in pain when he saw it. "Why would they do that?" Grace asked worried. Heelix just stared at his arm.. observing it bleed slowly.. "Heelix! If there's something you're not telling us you have to tell me now! I got my team to trust you!" "I think I know who's on the island with us."

Heelix explained.

"So people from our legacy's rival are on the island with us.. Why's that such a big deal?" "They cut the tracker out your arm Casper.." Amari said unsettlingly. "Why would they do that?"

And then he had his realization..

"Are they gonna kidnap me?"

"Amari! Casper!" They were called over to Heelix who had screamed their names!

"Ok? What are we looking at?" Casper asked. "It's tracks." Grace said. "It's clues! They want us to find them." Heelix said. "-I'm sorry are we playing like a sick game of hide and go seek?" Grace interrupted. "Well your teammates play in the water like children." "-I don't have to keep asking my team to protect and save your asses!" "Well, you're still asking, so did they not listen the first time you gave their orders? Were they ever going to listen to keep us safe? Not such a good captain if you can't get your team to follow such simple instructions.. In my opinion.."

Grace and Heelix bickered.

Grace walked off with her crossbow in her hand.

I thought of what Heelix thought of really thinking Myers wanted to protect us? He was probably in on it with Michael.. wanting us dead too.

"Heelix!" A man slit Grace's neck killing her instantly.

Amari picked up Grace's old bow and arrow left on the ground and shot him!

He fell.

Grace's team were sent off into the woods by her to find more food.. It was only Heelix, Amari, and Casper who saw.

"We need to find the team!" Heelix ordered.

They told how she died.

"How do we know you didn't kill her?" David asked. "I have no reason." Heelix said with confidence.

Although with Heelix's efforts to further explain in more depth of what happened in that little time to Grace, a feud began.

"Grace was.. my girlfriend." John, another teammate, said devastated, ended the feud. "Well I'm sorry," Amari said. "But Grace would have wanted you to help us." "Screw you!" John said to her while walking off.

"How can we earn their trust?" Heelix whispered to Casper.

I couldn't think of anything.

"We just need to survive. How many days do we have? Just one left." Amari said frantically. "You say that like someone's hunting us!" "They are!" Heelix told Casper.

And so Myers' clock ticked..

The countdown began.
