Chapter Eleven: A Wreck

As I opened my eyes I could see Mono running away from me in smoke. I stood and saw Amari unbalanced, walking towards me.

I fell.

[..The train ride home]
"This is a failed mission.." Heelix muttered to himself. He wanted to say it was rigged so bad. "Myers will be finding out about this." He got out of his seat and walked to the back of the train to the other cart.

"What train are we on?" This was a different train. "Our train got blown up." Amari said to me with dirt smeared on her face. I heard a scream in the back of the train.

The door slid open and I saw Astrid screaming for Heelix to get off of her. She was screaming for him to stop the train. Mono was there pushing her back into her seat. They were restraining her.

A nurse shut the door!

Then as I was getting up to go, I felt a needle in my chest!

A nurse put me to sleep..

I woke up in a new cart. The nurse's room, but the nurse wasn't here. I was sleeping in a hospital bed and across from me was Astrid lying awake. The dry tears from her eyes drew lines down her dirty cheeks. She was on the edge of her bed staring down at the floor saying nothing.. "Where's Geneviene?" I asked her. She didn't answer.

Mono walked in! Heelix came behind her. Astrid got up to attack her and yell! Mono grabbed her wrists and Heelix tried pinning her to the bed! She fought! "This stupid bitch is trying to bite me!" Mono said. Astrid grunted back. They both pinned her down as soon as the nurse rushed in to give her a shot! She was temporarily paralyzed.. So now she was lying awake again but this time unable to move. "Something stronger?" Heelix asked the nurse. Questioning why she gave her a stronger dose.

Mono leaned back to the wall as she tried catching her breath.. She looked over to me. Then uncaringly I looked away..

We were on our way home.
