Chapter 46: Objective

Henry came back to his apartment to find it was trashed.

Pillows on the floor.

His lamps were broken.

Pages of his journal all torn out.

The rings were missing and so was his letter.

He went over to his computer.

Everything was wiped. Henry didn't have any emails. No files.

Heelix toyed with his watch, trying to fix it.

Henry told him what happened.

"Has anyone else come to your apartment? Myers would never start a raid if he hadn't had someone scope it out first."

Henry thought of Mono.

"Why would you invite her to your home?! How many times have I tried telling you to STAY AWAY FROM HER?!" Henry looked lost. "You're not my father Heelix."

He remembered.

"And plus Geneviene was here." "When?" "After Mono." "So what does that tell you?" Henry looked at Heelix like he was stupid. "I know you're not being ignorant Heelix." "Excuse me?"

They were silent.

"What's gotten into you?"

"Ok well I guess it comes down to the two. Geneviene or Mono. Who do you think raided your apartment today?" Henry had a blank face. "I'm surprised you haven't gone to Myers by now. What's stopping you?" He realized. "Oh you don't wanna put your little lover in trouble because it could be her. You don't trust that she wouldn't do something like that." Henry was thinking. "This whole time she could've been using you." Henry rushed out and left, almost spilling his coffee on Cap.

Heelix was still fixing his watch.

"And what's that Heelix?" Cade walked in.

Heelix sighed sitting in his chair. "It's a janky old watch, just something I began working on." "Don't lie to me Heelix.. You've been hiding things from Myers. Where's the objects?" "I don't know where the rest of the objects are." "Then where can I find them?" Heelix took a second to take a deep breath in. He dropped his watch on the table. "I don't know." He said, exhaling.

Cade walked over to Heelix.

"Is that one of them?"

Heelix tensed up feeling Cade hover over his shoulder.

"So what, you're gonna take it from me?"

Cade knelt down and started breathing in Heelix's ear.

"Not when I know where it is."

Heelix finally exhaled and felt relieved when he heard Cade start walking away.

"It's safer here. If anyone.. even Myers comes for it.. He'll only have you to blame."

Heelix agreed to not tell on Cade.

"So I'll ask you again.. What is it?" Heelix rolled his eyes. "It's an object that will grant us our freedom."

Cade headed out, stopping in the door frame.

"You're a sheep in wolves clothes." Heelix said to Cade.

Henry found a note on Mono's door. It was a picture of the joker.

It must be one of Myers' games.

He took it and left without knocking to see if she was home.

Captain put his hand to Cade's chest to stop him. Cade looked appalled.

"I'm not trying to offend you, but what is it exactly you are just up to dear Cade?" He jerked his hand back. "What are you all conspiring?"

Henry found Mono in the 6th floor garage of her apartment complex looking over the edge.
