~Mitch~

Mitch stirred before tightening his grip on his wife's hand.

"Mitch?" Daciana mumbled and Mitch's head jerked up before he smiled at her.

"Hi, baby." Mitch greeted before kissing her. "How'd you sleep?"

"What happened?" Mitch opened his mouth before looking down. "Mitch, what happened to our children?"

"Late-term..." Daciana shook her head as she cut Mitch off, "No."

"Yeah. I'm sorry." Mitch whispered as tears welled in Daciana's eyes.

"No," Daciana whispered as Mitch moved to sit by her hip.

"Yeah, love. Trust me I went threw that hours ago."

"But we were excited, we had a month left."

"I know, baby," Mitch whispered as he hugged Daciana and she broke down against him. Mitch rubbed her back, understanding what she was feeling because he had the same reaction earlier when she was first brought back into the room.

Daciana calmed down after a few minutes but refused to move away from Mitch and he didn't want her to. Mitch rubbed her back before moving to lie down, so he could properly hold her while she sniffled. Mitch kissed her head a few times before the door was opened.

"Is she awake?" Daciana's bottom lip quivered and Mitch calmly said, "You need to leave, please."

"You want me to leave when my daughter is going to go threw the worst thing she will ever feel."

"She is awake and hearing your voice makes her want to cry, so please leave, Rosalee," Mitch stated and Rosalee frowned before leaving. Mitch kissed Daciana's head again as she tightened her arms around him. "I will always love you," Mitch whispered and Daciana sniffled.

"When can we leave?"

"I don't know, love."

"Can I have a muffin?"

"Of course, what kind of muffin do you want?" Mitch asked as he stared at his wife.

"Banana."

"Banana nut muffin or just banana?"

"Banana nut muffin," Daciana mumbled and Mitch nodded.

"Do you want me to call someone to get it or do you want me to get it?"

"I don't want you to go."

"Okay, want me to call Nick, Rosalee, Mornoe, Drayce, or Alastair?"

"I would like Alastair, and only him," Daciana mumbled as tears welled in her eyes, and Mitch knew that she would be a mess for a few weeks. He wouldn't be much better.

"Okay, let me call him," Mitch said before sitting up. Mitch grabbed his phone before calling Alastair.

"How's our girl?" Alastair asked as soon as he answered the phone.
