Calum Hood
"Michael's leaving for Australia."
After Fiona finished her sentence, I ran towards the way Luke, Steph and Ally was sitting. They were all talking when I barged into their conversations.
"Guys," I sighed. I catched my breath after. "What is it, Cal?" Ally sounded worried.
"We need to follow Michael." I said. Their faces were all worried and confused. "What are you saying, mate?" Luke started. "Michael is just in his house here in L.A. You miss him already?" Luke joked. "What the heck, Luke. There are no time for jokes right now!" I shouted, sounding angry. "So, just spill it out, Calum!" Steph said.
"Michael is leaving for Australia."
The next thing that happened was we were all going out to my car and heading to the airport Fiona said to me.
"Why did Michael didn't tell us?" Luke shouted at the car. The two girls were behind us and Luke was on the front seat. "I'm sorry, Luke." I started, still eyes on the road. "Me and Michael had a fight because of Ally. It's really hard to explain. I'm the cause of his pain. He didn't lived the life he wanted, it's all because of me." I said. "Why didn't you tell that to me, Cal? We could patch things up with Michael." Ally said from the back. I looked at her at the mirror. "No, Ally. I don't want you hurt, too. Besides, Michael is not really Michael when he's mad. He's another person. You might not want to see him mad at all, maybe." I stopped.
After the conversation we had, the drive to the airport was silent. No one dared to speak, nor move because of what I said. Of course, Luke knows who really Michael is. But, deep inside me, I know Michael is still my best friend.
We arrived at the airport as soon as the traffic was gone. It wasn't a long ride, but for us it took years. After I pulled out to the parking lot, I asked Luke to come with me, so Ally and Steph decided to not come because of what might happen. I bid Ally a good bye kiss and promise to come back with Michael.
We entered the airport doors and searched for a man with red hair, and his favorite Metallica shirt and black ripped jeans. Instead of finding that man, I found Ashton sitting on one of the benches there. "Ashton!" I called. He immediately stood up and looked at me, concerned. "Hey, Cal! What took you so long? I've been waiting for you." He said. "Wait, you know I'm going here?" I asked. I really don't know what's happening right now. "Yeah, mate. I texted him that we'll go here." Luke muttered. "Well, okay then. Where's Michael? Did he left already?" I immediately asked. I really need to see him. I need to patch things up. "No," Ashton breathed. "He's doing something and he'll be back in a few minutes, I guess. His flight will be soon, and he also said to me that you're not on good terms. Really, Cal? You didn't even dare talk to him after what happened?" Ashton sounded a bit angry this time. "Y-yeah. Pride really comes in after it. I really didn't know what to do. I guess I'm not independent enough for doing such things." I looked down. It's the truth actually. "Cal," Ashton sighed. "You're already 21, you can decide whatever you want in life now. Are you ready to patch things up with Mi-" Ashton was cut off with a call from behind me. It was Michael.
"Ashton! Sorry for keeping you wai-" I heared him drop his bags to the side. I turned around to face him but I still managed to look down to the floor. "What is he doing here?" Michael sounded a bit angry and confused. I regain my confidence and tried to looked up. "Mike, I know were not in good terms now. So, I ran up here to talk to you and patch things up. C-can we talk?" I motioned Luke to go with Ashton and talk for a while. We went to the nearest coffee shop here in the airport which is actually a meter away from Ashton and Luke. "What do you want to talk about, Cal? Tell it now before I-" I cut him off. "Why will you leave, Mike?" Is the first question I intended to ask. He gave me a sad expression. "I really think I don't belong here anymore." Michael sighed.
"Things might go well if I'm not here, besides I'm the reason for you and A-" Before he could say a name, I cut him off. "No." I muttered. "You don't need to go back to Australia. We're here. And," I patted his shoulder. "Please don't blame yourself for me and Ally's relationship. I caused all of it. And besides," I sighed a little. "You made me realize things." I looked at Michael. Tears are forming in his eyes. "Mike, you made me realize how to be myself. You made me realize that I can be, I can be me! You made me realize that being brave enough to spill out your feelings is okay."
I was crying, too. I didn't know that things will be going like this. It was good. "You are a good person, Michael. You made me change myself. And I couldn't thank you enough for being my best friend. You're like family to me, Mike." The next thing Michael did was to hug me. It was a best friend hug. It was a great feeling after all.
"Will you still leave?" I asked him again. Michael sighed, and looked up to me smiling. "No, mate. I already found my true home." I smiled widely at what he said. "Yes! If you're doing this again, I swear to God I will follow you." I muttered.
"Hey, mate. I have good news." I said as we walked out of the cafe. "What is it?" Michael asked with a smile. "Me and Ally are officially together now!" I gave Michael a high-five after.
We were going near to Ashton and Luke after..
We heard a gun shot inside the aiport.
