"Imma be gone for a bit, 'kay? I'm leavin' the others to look after ya. I'll be back soon, promise."

"Alright bud, don't worry, it's gonna be alright.

I won't be gone long. ."

"Alright you bastards. You're gonna tell me what exactly ya did to my brother, and you're gonna tell me now. Otherwise my fists, and your faces, are gonna become best friends."The snapper snarled, kicking the door open so hard it flew off its hinges.
"Ah, so you're back. We didn't expect you back so soo-" The leader in purple, Danny, was cut off with a squeak, his head being grabbed and him being lifted off the ground kicking and swiping.
"Tell. Me. Now."
"Ooo, mama bird angry his brother fell outta the nest?" The yellow one snickered.
"No, mama bird's angry you hurt his brother and permanently scarred him." He snarled, fiery gaze snapping to the yellow-clad fish.
"Ohhh, we were wonderin' what happened to the kid. Kinda just thought he was still worked up about the whole head thing and wasn't lookin' at us."

"What head thing, exactly?"
"Ain't tellin', 'specially if I don't get nothin' in return."
Raph scowled. "How about I don't bash your head into the floor if ya tell me, that sufficient enough?"
"Ooo, usin' big words now? You ain't got the nerve, turtle."
"I mean it, fish. Try me."
"And so do I."
The snapper's anger only increased with the further refusal to cooperate. He dropped the other, walking towards the yellow one and slamming him into the wall with a sickening bang. "Tell me, now."
"Fine! Fine! When we took 'im he put up a pretty big fight so we had to- Er. ." He trailed off.
"What?"
"We kinda had to hit him- in the head- with a crowbar-"
"WHAT?!" He bellowed, grip tightening.
"It was the only way to get into the stupid place and grab 'im! It's like a military base in there!" Mickey defended. "And he bit Leonard so we reacted on instinct!"

"So did he." Raph narrowed his eyes.
"Yeah, so we're even!"
"That bite still fuckin' hurt. . ." Leonard muttered.
"Plus, he's alive ain't he?" Mickey continued. "And he's back at his stupid base."
"And he's hurt." Raph snarled. "Hurt because of a stupid grudge you bozos had against me. Hurt because you dumb-dumbs decided to torture him and make me watch when ya could have just left 'im alone and this whole thing would've never happened! Blind because you filthy bastards hit a major nerve and didn't even give a crap!!" His voice raised with each sentence, grip on the orange fish's neck only tightening.
The fish gasped, kicking around and attempting to pull him off. It came futile, though.
"Oi! Let 'im go man!" Danny scowled, running over and stepping in front of the turtle.
He dropped the fish, gaze ever hostile towards the trio that now stand in front of him. "You fuckers ain't gonna be comin' around me or my fam, got it? Otherwise I ain't lettin' ya off that easy."

"You little-"
"Leonard! Silence!" Danny snapped.
"But-"
"Nard, I swear-"
"Fine! Fine!" He snapped. "Maybe we should've killed the little shit when we had the chance." He muttered, crossing his arms.
"What did you just say?" The snapper questioned, his ever hostile gaze becoming impossibly worse. A gaze not even he knew he could create.
"I said we shoulda killed the little shit when we had the chance! Little brat bit me and his annoying ass, wouldn't. Shut. Up!" He screeched, glaring back at the enraged turtle.
"THATS IT-"
"Oh shit-" The blue-clad rodent ran off, an angry turtle in tow.
"Damnit Leonard! Ya just couldn't shut your ass up now could ya?!" Danny snapped, running after.
Suddenly, a terrified squeak sounded throughout the place, the other two Mud Dogs stopping when they spotted the blue one pinned to the ground by a very angry Raph's hand.

"Alright, alright! I yeild! Get off of me ya bloody reptile!!" He shrieked.
"Ey! Off of him or- or we'll finish the soft-shell off!" Mickey snapped.
"Mickey-" Danny muttered with an eye roll. Though he decided to let him just to see what would happen.
"Don't you dare even so much as go near him." Raph snarled.
"We will if ya don't leave Leonard alone!"
"You even try I'll crush y'all like bugs."
"Not if you can't catch us!"
"You'd be easy t-" He was interrupted by a small buzzing noise from his belt. He decided to let the rodent go and pull out his phone, turning it on.

Raph's eyes widened. He typed a quick reply before running out.

The snapper ran into the bay, immediately going to the softshell's side and taking him into his arms. "Hey, hey, it's alright. . . I'm here-"
"Wh- Where- Where were you?" He muttered, burying his face into the crook of his neck.
"Eh- nowhere important. But I'm here now, I wasn't even gone that long." He reassured.
"Dude, you were gone for three hours." Leo informed.
"What-? Oh- crap I must've lost track of time I'm so sorry-" He gently rubbed the softshell's back, being mindful of the carapace wounds.
"Don't leave. . Please don't leave-" He rasped, arms wrapping tighter around the back of the Snappers neck.
"I won't, I promise. . I'm sorry-" He apologized, gently wrapping his free arm around the younger. "I won't leave ya again. . ."
Leo just stood, taking this as a sign to leave and walking out with a nod of acknowledgement.

The two just stayed like that for a few minutes, Raph giving silent apologies and reassurances and Donnie saying nothing. (He was just glad Raph was there.)

"I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough. I know it wasn't entirely my fault- trust me, Mikey drilled it into my head. But I still shoulda' been faster- Who knows, maybe you can help me with my memory, too." Raph ranted, to which Donnie quickly shushed him after the "faster" part but let him say the least part.
"D- Don't apologize. ." He mumbled.
"Sor- uh- okay." He nodded. "Er- you wanna go do somethin'? Or are you stuck in med-jail?"
"I want to do something. . ." He murmured.
"Alright, let's go find somethin' to do then." He smiled, walking out of the bay with the younger in his arms.
