Splinter sighed, stepping up to the front door of the establishment and raising a fist to knock. This is not a good idea. . They don't want me here, but why did they ask me to come then? Was it to scold me more? No, they would have just come to the lair. Perhaps they have just did it to see if I would actually come to this- place. Well I came- But is it really a good idea? Trusting the man who ruined my life and- No stop it splinter, you are no better than that man. You have proved it yourself many times over. . He hesitated, slightly pulling his hand away from the door before shaking his head and going through with the action. Almost as soon as he made his second knock, the door flew open. In the entranceway revealed two- flying cats??

What. . ?

"Oh, you must be the rat we keep hearin' about." Huginn greeted, which followed by a small smack to the back of the head by Muninn. "Hey!" He dragged the word out. He frowned, rubbing the back of his head and opening the door wider for the rat man.
He nodded, stepping in hesitantly and immediately being led through a small series of corridors towards an unknown place.
"Don't say that ya ding dong! Rats have good hearing!" Muninn whispered.
"Then why did you hit me?! And why are you talking so loud?!" He whisper-yelled back.
The rat man rolled his eyes, feet pattering against the cold tile floors. How do they deal with these things? I have only known them for three minutes and they're already-
"Hey bossman! We're here!" The two exclaimed, dragging out the last word for dramatic effect. (For some reason??)
He sucked in a breath, preparing himself for what was going to possibly happen next. Alright. . It is fine, no big deal, it's just going to be a simple conversation between us. . Right?
The goyles led him into the room, waving and promptly perching within a dog bed beside the Baron.

I have a very strong feeling this is not a good idea-

"No- No no- please don't do this to me I can't deal with it anymore. ."

"Dramatic, aren't we Purple?"

"I'm sorry-"

"Sorry doesn't make up for the unforgivable things you've done."

"I know. . I know it's all my fault I just wish I could change how things went-"

"You can't, though. For all we know you could be dead, and sentenced to dealing with yourself for the rest of your miserable afterlife"

"I don't think I'm dead-" He said quietly, recalling the feeling of seemingly being hugged quite a few times.

"Probably imagining things again."

"Again? Why do you mean again-?"

"Well, how about we recall the times you imagined the praise from the rat."

He swore he could feel a chill run up his spine at the mention of the word 'rat' alone.

"And all the times you actually thought a mission went well because your tech didn't explode."

He remembers the pitying faces he received when he cheered about that. . .

"Maybe even 'papa'. You don't honestly believe he cares, do you? He's just going to betray you like every other person you befriend."

Right. . Purple Dragons, Repo Mantis, even Mayhem at one point. . .

"Just give up already."

"Why? But Mikey said to-"

"MIKEY ISN'T HERE, IS HE?!"

He flinched. "No. ."
