Getting stabbed in the stomach doesn't hurt as much as one would expect it to. Or that's just your experience. Because when you got stabbed in the stomach with a lightsaber, the shock hurt more than anything. The shock that your master, who is the closest thing you have to a mother, stabbed you. The shock that she's a sith lord and that you'll never have your master back. The shock that you were going to die now. And just the cherry on top, you were pregnant.
So, naturally, as you stumbled back your eyes were as wide as the sand seas on Tatooine. And your master just smiled at you. She completed her mission, she didn't need to be here anymore. So as you fell to the ground she backed away and left. You never knew shock could hurt so bad. All your life, shock was described as a surprise. Something one is just taken back by. But here under the setting sun, you were in utter pain from it.
Now, you laid back in the rough grass. Starting up at the sky which had always comforted you. It did the same now, the clouds moved on. The wisps blew through the sky as if you were dying. It helped you grasp that their lives would go on without you.
~Anakin's POV~Back a few minutes~
I felt a sharp pain in my right side as Darth Maul spun around me. He chuckled as I grabbed my side, which hadn't been cut by him. And then when I turned around to attack, he was gone. As if he disappeared in the wind. I left my hand on my side, feeling with the force.
Something was wrong. I could feel it deep within the marrow of my bones. And a feeling this deep meant it could only be one person. My love, my angel, the light of my life. Something was wrong with her. I continued to feel, trying to find her. My feet took themselves to where I could feel you. But I could now sense what was wrong as I got closer. You were fading.
"Y/n?" I called, desperate to hear your voice, "Where are you, love?"
Ani.
I ran as fast as I could through the thin forest. You were in here somewhere, and your light was fading.
Just keep conscious, I'll be-
There she was. Laying on her back in a small clearing, all alone. I sprinted to her side and kneeled by her. Placing my hand on the side of her face I asked,
"What happened?"
She smiled up at me. It was weak. Her eyes were half closed as her face had already begun to pale.
"Angel, I need you to stay awake for me." A tear fell from my eye and her soft hand reached up. She brushed away the tear as she muttered,
"Don't cry for me. I'll see you again one day."
A ship flew overhead and seemed to land somewhere nearby.
"No, no you'll be fine." I cried harder, "You'll get medical attention, and you'll be perfect like always."
"Take care of the girls for me, finish-" She coughed, "their training."
"You'll be there to help me."
Clones ran toward us through the trees. They surrounded Y/n and I. Then Kix kneeled down next to her with his first aid kit.
"General, we need to get her to the cruiser."
I nodded and picked her up, carrying her to the ship. They flew us up and to the cruiser. I later learned that Obi-Wan commed them when he felt something in the force.
