Episode 6c: Rock, Paper, Scissors

Episode description: In the summer heat, Ryōuta is challenged to several games of Rock, Paper, Scissors with the penalty of fanning the winner. Ryouta's attempts to defy his constant losing streak land him in hot water with Chika who promptly beats him up for accidentally flipping her skirt.

It's a hot summer day at school. The students are having a hard time to keep cool in the heat. Ryouta and Kouji were having a little game of Rock Paper Scissors.

"Rock!" Ryouta said.

"Paper!" Kouji said.

"Scissors!" Ryouta and Kouji said in unison.

Kouji went with scissors, and Ryouta went with paper. The other guys around were shocked with how Kouji won.

"Damn it!" Ryouta said.

"Yeah!" Kouji said.

"This is your fifth straight loss, isn't it, Ryouta?" Tsubasa said.

"You don't have to remind him, Tsubasa. He's already frustrated." Dillon said.

"Another defeat!" Ryouta said.

"Ryouta-kun, you surely didn't forget the rule for losers, didn't you?" Kouji said.

Ryouta stood up as he took out a plastic sheet, and fanned Kouji with it.

"So cool. Make sure you fan properly for twenty times." Kouji said.

The girls looked across the classroom to see what Ryouta was doing.

"It's so hot, so I wondered what they were doing..." Chika said.

"Isn't it because it's hot?" Haruka said, fanning herself. "When it's this hot, it's easy to dry up."

"But Sato-kun is really bad at Rock Paper Scissors." Yuki said.

"It's because he's so simple." Chika said. "But at least Dillon is trying to help."

"Eighteen. Nineteen. Twenty." Ryouta said, as he finished counting how many times he fanned Kouji. "Simple, but tough."

"But Kouji, you're really good at Rock Paper Scissors." Asahi said.

"Rock Paper Scissors brings out a person's true nature..." Kouji said. "Also, I can read Ryouta's hand."

"Are you trying to say that my true nature is paper?" Ryouta said, frustrated.

"No. Your true nature is that of an idiot, no?" Kouji said.

Ryouta glared at Kouji as they gripped each other's cheek.

"Let go!" Ryouta said.

"You first!" Kouji said.

"Jeez! Stop fighting!" Tsubasa said, as he and Dillon separated Ryouta and Kouji. "It'll get unnecessarily hotter!"

"Yeah. Knock it off, guys." Dillon said.

"Then how about we battle one more time?" Kouji said. "Loser has to do thirty. Do you accept?"

"Fine with me!" Ryouta said.

Ryouta and Kouji turned away from each other, and plan on what to use for their next round. Dillon and Ryouta huddled up to plan.

"Rock Paper Scissors brings out a person's true nature." Ryouta said quietly. "Without a doubt. Right. It could be called a psychological battle. Kouji's provocation was an attempt to prevent me from choosing paper. Which means that if I use paper again he'll be in trouble."

"Be smart, Ryouta. You don't know what Kouji could choose this time." Dillon said.

"I'll use paper." Kouji said, as the others gasped in shock.
