Episode 2c: Ball Washing

Episode description: As P.E. class draws to a close, Ryōuta accidentally wanders into the midst of the girls changing in order to retrieve a football and is subsequently beaten.

'Enjoy.'

The boys are all standing around a soccer ball. It's part of some kind of roulette to see who is responsible to wash the ball each day when P.E. ends. Asahi's gym shirt was crimson red. Takumi's shirt color was navy blue. Kenji's is aqua blue. Their shorts are black just like everyone else's usual gym clothes, leaving Dillon, Ryouta, and Kouji in their special ones Kairi made for them. Tsubasa was also given a special set of gym clothes too. A purple shirt with the shadow symbol in japanese (影), with black shorts. The school bell was ringing, meaning gym P.E. is almost over.

"Ready?" Ryouta said.

"Ready." The other boys said in unison.

"Ready... Rock, Paper, Scissors!" The seven boys said in unison.

Ryouta was upset as he was the only one to choose rock, when everyone else went on paper.

"Alright!" The boys cheered, knowing they didn't have to wash the ball.

"Damn it!" Ryouta said, in anger.

"Sorry, Ryouta." Dillon said.

"Then, just as usual, the last one to reach the classroom will have to wash it." Tsubasa said.

"Okay! Everyone stand back." Kouji said.

The others stood back as Kouji ran and kicked the ball saying "Bring it back!".

"Damn it!" Ryouta said, running to get the ball.

"Do your best." Asahi said.

"Come back before dinner." Takumi said.

"Tsubasa-kun." Kouji said, getting his attention to run.

The others saw Kouji and Tsubasa were getting a head start.

"Isn't it better not to rush?" Takumi asked.

"Don't look down on that guy." Kouji replied, pointing back over to Ryouta.

The others looked back to see Ryouta already got the ball.

"Fast!" Takumi said, shocked.

"That's my cue to leave. Later!" Dillon said, catching up with Kouji and Tsubasa.

(Back in the school building...)

The girls were getting changed out of their gym clothes. Yuki was fanning herself, from the heat.

"It's hot..." Yuki said.

"Let's open the window a bit." Chika suggested.

"Yeah." Yuki said.

Chika opened up a window, but it didn't feel any cooler in the classroom.

"It's not getting any cooler, is it?" Yuki said.

Aihara opened a little door on the other side of the classroom. Now it was starting to cool down.

"It won't work unless you create a path for it to flow." Aihara explained.

The others were amazed with what Aihara did. Back downstairs Ryouta was trying to make Kouji or Tsubasa responsible to wash the ball, but wasn't doing so well. The classroom was cooling down making the girls relieved from the heat. Yuki then looked over to Megumi who was trying to change out of her gym clothes. It was a bit tricky from taking her shirt off from below. When she got her gym shirt off, she was left with a tank top underneath. The other girls stared at her, and Megumi wondered why.

"What?" Megumi said, confused.

Megumi then realized as she covered her chest.

"Circle around!" Yuki said, as the other girls surrounded her.

The girls whispered about Megumi, as she was confused why they were whispering about her.

"What?" Megumi said, confused. "What's with this?"

The girls kept whispering as Megumi was flustered.

"Jeez, hurry up and change!" Megumi said, worried.

(Back with the guys...)

Kouji was running from Ryouta as he had the ball in his hands. Ryouta threw the ball at Kouji, but he dodged it.

"What?!" Ryouta said, furious.

Kouji laughed at how Ryouta failed. Dillon got a bit upset with how Kouji treated Ryouta.

"Later." Kouji said, leaving. "Wash the ball properly."

Ryouta went to go find the ball after he threw it, with Dillon following him.

"Damn. Where did the ball go?" Ryouta said.

"There it is." Dillon said, pointing to it on the floor.

The ball was in between the little door to their classroom. They'd better be careful if they don't wanna get beaten up by the girls.

"There it is. There it is." Ryouta said, going up to the ball.

Ryouta accidentally pushed it in the classroom.

"Crap!" Ryouta said worried.

"Ryouta, wait! The girls are still changing in there." Dillon said, warning him.

The girls noticed the ball rolling in the classroom.

"Man, how annoying..." Ryouta said, going up to get the ball.

Chika, Yuki, Megumi, and Hirikawa's faces went all red, except for Aihara who was already changed. Ryouta had a shocked look on his face as he soon realized.

"Ryouta! Get out of there!" Dillon yelled out, keeping his eyes shut.

"Oh god!" Ryouta said, in panic grabbing the ball. "Got it!"

"Peeker." Aihara said.

Ryouta made a run for it to get out of the classroom. Dillon kept the little door opened as he held his hand out reaching for Ryouta. But he couldn't make it in time as he was pulled back and beaten up by the girls.

"Ryouta! Oh god! I gotta tell Principal Hikari about this!" Dillon said, running to Sora's office.

(Later that day...)

Kouji and Tsubasa were out in the hallway chatting.

"And then, that guy from Class 1 was..." Kouji said, as Tsubasa nodded. "You're late! Did you properly wash-"

Kouji and Tsubasa were worried with how Ryouta's face is beaten up.

"Ryouta..." Kouji said.

"I washed it." Ryouta said, showing the clean ball.

"Ryouta got beaten up by the girls earlier. Thankfully, he's not in any trouble." Dillon said. "Sora also gave me a healing elixir to give to you, Ryouta."

"Thanks, Dillon." Ryouta said, swapping the ball and drinking the elixir.

"No problem. We should leave the ball in the classroom until Tamura brings it back outside." Dillon said.

"Yeah. Probably." Ryouta said, as his face was fully healed.

"C'mon. The girls are all done changing, so it's our turn." Dillon said.

The boys returned to their classroom to change back in their normal clothes.

From ball washing to getting beaten up by girls, learning to be respectful in patience and in friends helping out, can sometimes keep you from getting hurt.
