Episode 12d: Munch Munch

Episode description: After home economics class, Yuki tells Natsumi that chalk is edible. Chika stops her just in time and decides to see if Ryōuta would fall for the lie. Ryōuta poorly handles the deception by lashing out at Chika's cooking to his regret. Fortunately after a few hours, Ryōuta manages to win Chika's forgiveness by kissing her.

(Flashback)

The students were doing a home economics class making cookies.

"They're done!" Chika said, taking the tray out of the oven. "Look!"

Ryouta and Tsubasa took a cookie each. Hirikawa and Megumi tried the ones Haruka made.

"Yummy!" Hirikawa said, with a happy smile.

Megumi nodded in agreement, and Hirikawa took another bite.

(End of Flashback)

Everyone was cleaning up in the classroom.

"The cookies from Home Ec. today were yummy, weren't they?" Hirikawa said, smiling.

"Yeah, they were! They were made pretty well too." Megumi said.

"I wanted to eat more, though..." Hirikawa said, feeling a bit sad.

Hirikawa looked down at the chalk sticks on the little overhang of the board. She grabbed the white one, and blinked in confusion.

"Chalk kind of looks edible, doesn't it?" Hirikawa said, as the girls looked to her. "Maybe I'll just lick it a little..."

Megumi was a bit shocked. Aihara stopped erasing the board. As for Yuki, well...

"That's right! Chalk has... Well..." Yuki said, walking over to Hirikawa. "White is vanilla! Red is strawberry! And yellow is banana flavored!"

"Is that so? So it really is edible, isn't it!" Hirikawa said, surprised.

Thankfully Chika stepped in and took the chalk from Hirikawa.

"Hey, hey! What kind of weird things are you teaching her?" Chika said, in concern. "Natsumi-chan, don't listen to such lies."

"Lies?" Hirikawa said, confused.

"Stop it, Chika-chan. It's a noritsukkomi!" Yuki said. "Natsumi-chan will go: 'This looks yummy!' and I'll go: 'Don't eat it!'."

Hirikawa went in shock from what Yuki said.

"Right, Natsumi-chan?" Yuki said.

Hirikawa felt so confused. She stuttered a little as she got her words out.

"D-Don't eat it..." Hirikawa said, nervously.

"Yeah. Yeah, like that." Yuki said.

"You're right. She wouldn't be that gullible." Chika said.

It was then Chika heard Ryouta laughing from the other side of the classroom. He was chatting with Kouji, Tsubasa, Dillon, Stella, and Morro.

"Kouji, there's no such thing!" Ryouta said, laughing.

"No, no! It's the same for all of us!" Kouji said.

"What is?" Dillon asked.

"I am so confused." Stella said.

"Ryouta." Chika called out, walking over to the others. "Did you know that chalk is edible?"

"What? That's an obvious lie." Ryouta said, amused.

"Yeah." Morro said, nodding in agreement.

"You don't get it, do you?" Chika said. "Chalk nowadays is made with safety and health in mind. They're sweet and flavored!"
