Episode 8c: Height Comparison

Episode description: At the end of class, Chika and Megumi decide to compare heights and find out that Chika has a slight height advantage. Because it was mentioned, Natsumi and Ryōuta begin to worry about their own heights. To spite Ryōuta, Kōuji proposes that he compare heights with Chika ending in stalemate between Ryōuta's win in overall height and Chika's longer legs.

'Takes place after the events of Hunger. Enjoy.'

Chika and Megumi were back to back. Yuki was checking their height to see who's taller.

"You've gotten a bit taller." Yuki said to Chika.

"Really?" Chika said, happy.

"Yeah. Amazing, Chika-chan!" Yuki said.

"Seriously!" Megumi said.

"I've recently grew just today." Chika said.

"How nice." Yuki said.

"Next time, pick me!" Compare heights with me!" Hirikawa said.

"Alright! Bring it on!" Chika said.

Ryouta and Dillon overheard this and wondered why they were doing height comparisons.

(Later...)

The girls were outside for gym as Hirikawa was hanging from her legs on a pull-up bar.

"What are you doing, Natsumi-chan?" Chika asked.

"I thought I could get taller by hanging down from the horizontal bar and let gravity pull my body!" Hirikawa said. "Then I thought it might work better if I hung upside down."

"Danger!" Yuki said, worried.

Yuki pulled Hirikawa's shirt over her stomach as it was going up, or down in this case.

"Got you!" Yuki said, relieved.

"Oh, that's right." Hirikawa said, getting down and started jumping. "If I... Jump a lot... I can grow taller!"

"Tuck in your shirt!" Yuki said, worried.

Kouji and Tsubasa saw this and laughed a bit nervously. They turned to see Ryouta hanging from one of the higher bars. Dillon was on another doing pull-ups to stay in top shape.

"Ryouta, you too?" Kouji said, as he and Tsubasa walked over.

"No, I'm just testing my own limits." Ryouta replied.

"And I'm doing pull-ups to stay in top shape like my dad and brother." Dillon said, pulling himself up.

Chika and Yuki came over to the boys to see what they were doing.

"Are you all worked up because Chika-chan got taller?" Yuki asked Ryouta.

"Hah! That's impossible." Ryouta said, trying to not get jealous.

"Then how about we compare whether you or Chika-chan is taller!" Kouji suggested, as Chika was confused. "Come down, Ryouta."

Ryouta didn't want to come down from the bar. So, Yuki came up and tickled him to get off.

"I got it, so stop-" Ryouta said, as he fell on his back.

Yuki then jumped on his stomach with her legs.

"I've caught him!" Yuki said.

"Alright!" Kouji said.

"Yuki, stop hurting him!" Dillon said, as he got down.

"It's not like we have to compare our heights in front of everyone, right?" Ryouta said.

"Oh? Unconfident? Are you all talk?" Chika said. "Aren't you acting all high and mighty?"

Ryouta felt himself hit from Chika's words as he got up and spoke.

"Then let's do this!" Ryouta said. "The one who's taller is the king, and the one who's shorter is the slave! How about we make the king's orders absolute?!"

"F-Fine!" Chika agreed.

"Oh, man. Here we go again." Dillon said, amused.

Ryouta and Chika lined up against each other back to back to see who was taller. Yuki walked up to them and gulped nervously. Yuki measured the two teens as the answer was made.

"Which one of us, Yuki?" Ryouta said.

"It's me, isn't it, Yuki-chan?" Chika said.

"Well, who is it?" Dillon asked.

"It's tough, but I think Sato-kun wins." Yuki replied.

"What?" Chika said, in shock.

"Y-Yeah!" Ryouta said, in triumph and laughed. "Looks like you were all confident just because you grew a little."

"No way... Losing to Ryouta in such a questionable way!" Chika said.

"Huh? Wait a second." Kouji said, realizing something.

"What is it?" Dillon asked.

"Ryouta, aren't your legs shorter?" Kouji said, realizing. "Even if you're taller overall, if your legs are shorter, you..."

"Huh?" Ryouta said, confused.

"Have a long torso but short legs!" Hirikawa said, finishing Kouji's sentence from on the bar.

"Yeah! That!" Kouji said, as Ryouta realized. "It'll be easier if we compare heights straddling the horizontal bar."

"B-But the match was already decided..." Ryouta said.

Chika had went to get on the pole as she spoke.

"What are you doing? Hurry!" Chika said.

"See? Go on, Ryouta!" Kouji said.

"Sato-kun, do your best!" Hirikawa said.

"Go, go, Sato-kun!" Yuki said.

"Ryouta, go!" Tsubasa said.

"Guys, knock it off." Dillon said, annoyed.

"I got it! I'll do it! Everything's good if I do it, right?!" Ryouta said, upset.

(After that...)

It was confirmed that Ryouta does have short legs.

"Chika-chan won that one big time!" Hirikawa said.

"She won overwhelmingly!" Yuki said.

"But, well, I still lost in total height." Chika said.

"Enough milking it, girls." Dillon said.

"Please." Ryouta said.

Chika walked over and pressed her chest against Ryouta's back while he was sitting down.

"Go ahead and order me as you wish, King of Deep Sighs." Chika said.

Ryouta screamed a little from what Chika had said.

"Please give me mercy..." Ryouta said.

"I'm not in the mood for this. I'm gonna go talk to Aiden." Dillon said, as he left the classroom.

Everyone's body grows differently. But when it comes to how your friend's do, don't make fun of them...
