Pinky Promise [Epilogue]

Episode description: The rangers return to school from winter vacation. Chika begins wearing the hairpins that Ryōuta gave her as a Christmas present.

'Takes place after Christmas vacation. There's not many parts left to adapt. But, I'll try to keep going after the last part to the OAD Treasure Chest collection episode is finished. Enjoy.'

A new year has begun. With winter vacation at an end, the students are returning to school once more.

(In homeroom 5-2...)

Ryouta was at his desk, stretching and yawning loudly. Aihara was biting on a mechanical pencil again. Seems she's down to her last baby tooth. Aihara turned to him with a demonic look on her face. Ryouta got worried. Dillon saw this, and had to help Ryouta out. Megumi was unpacking her stuff at her desk.

"Morning, Haruka-chan!" Megumi said, taking off her winter jacket.

"Morning, Megumi-chan..." Haruka said, as she yelped at how strong Megumi's arms looked.

"Wow, Megumi. You must've lost a ton of weight." Stella said, with a happy smile.

"You might have what it takes to be one of us." Kairi said.

"Thanks, Stella! Thanks, Ms. Nozomi!" Megumi said.

Hirikawa looked at how her outfit was today with a light blush and giggled. She wore a yellow hoodie, and an orange skirt. The guys were a bit surprised by how Hirikawa was wearing a skirt. She is a tomboy girl, but she hadn't ever worn a skirt ever.

"I can't believe that Hirikawa would..." Kenji said, shocked.

She giggled again, and felt praised. Meanwhile, Kouji was setting up another magic trick. Sora and Morro were watching from his side. Asahi, Kenji, Takumi, Jun, and another boy, Tsukasa wondered what Kouji was gonna pull off for this trick. Kouji pushed a little red cloth into his closed hand.

"Surprise!" Kouji said, as he pulled off the last move of his trick.

When he opened his hand, confetti exploded. The guys clapped for applause from his trick.

"Don't fall in love with me now!" Kouji said.

"Kouji-kun." Yuki said, as she tapped Kouji's shoulder.

He turned to see she brought over a dustpan and broom to clean up the confetti. Morro and Sora helped Kouji clean up the confetti on the floor. Outside, Aiden and Tsubasa were out on the balcony, looking at the snow that was falling. A snowflake fell on Tsubasa's arm, as he smiled and looked up at the sky.

"Sato-kun, my last tooth. It's about to fall out." Aihara said, wanting Ryouta's help to get it out. "So, lend me your finger."

Ryouta got scared. Dillon didn't want this weird antic to happen again.

"Stop!" Ryouta said, worried.

"Aihara, please!" Dillon said, annoyed.

Aihara didn't listen. Ryouta got terrified, and Dillon got annoyed. Chika was on her way in. She wore two of the hairpins that Ryouta had given to her for Christmas.

"Morning, everyone!" Chika said, as she opened the door to her classroom.

She was disturbed with what was going on with Ryouta and Aihara.

"Hey, Aihara! I'm telling you to cut it out!" Ryouta said, as he rushed away.

"It's our first day back, and this is getting weird!" Dillon said, trying to keep Aihara away from Ryouta.

"Hold it, Ryouta! You're doing that to Kazumi-chan again?" Chika said, annoyed.

Ryouta accidentally bumped into Chika running away from Aihara, and they fell on top of her.

"Ouch..." Chika said.

Everyone looked down at the fallen students. Mainly Ryouta and Chika. Dillon and Sora went to help Ryouta up. Stella and Kairi helped up Chika. Which left Morro helped Aihara up.

"You guys okay?" Sora asked, in concern.

"You're always- Today I'm gonna give it to you!" Chika said, upset.

"What?" Ryouta said, a bit worried.

Chika smiled, but then punched Ryouta in the face again.

"Repent!" Chika said.

"Chika!" Dillon, Stella, and Morro said upset at her.

"It's our first day back, and you're already hurting Ryouta again!" Sora said, frustrated.

"Yeah! What's with that all of a sudden?" Ryouta said, placing a hand to where Chika punched him.

"I hit a bit too hard, didn't I?" Chika said, concerned.

"Look! Look! It's snowing! It's snowing!" Tsubasa said, as everyone else came out to the balcony.

"Ryouta, this way, hurry!" Chika said, pulling him along.

Everyone looked up at the sky with the snow falling from the clouds.

"It truly is wonderful." Dillon said.

"A new year. And a new beginning for us. The Power Rangers." Aiden said.

"Well said." Kairi said.

An alert came from the rangers' communicators.

"Duty calls." Dillon said, as he and the others left.

"Good luck!" Chika and Tsubasa said, wishing their friends good luck.

Dillon, Ryouta, Kouji, Stella, Kairi, Aiden, Sora, and Morro made their way to the front exit of the school.

"Alright, guys. New year, new beginning!" Dillon said. "Ranger role call!"

Everyone else nodded, taking out their power stars.

"Ninja of fire! Red Ranger!" Dillon said, holding his power star up high.

"Ninja of water! Blue Ranger!" Ryouta said, following along.

"Ninja of lightning! Yellow Ranger!" Kouji said, doing vice versa.

"Ninja of wind! Pink Ranger!" Stella said, opening her sky fan while doing so.

"Ninja of ice! White Ranger!" Kairi said, taking out her keyblade along.

"Ninja of light! Gold Ranger!" Aiden said, drawing out his Rockstorm Saber in his right hand.

"Ninja of earth! Black Ranger!" Sora said, taking out his keyblade too.

"Ninja of energy! Green Ranger!" Morro said, charging his bow.

The rangers locked their power stars in their communicators.

"Powered by the Ninja Nexus Prism to protect our home!" Dillon said, holding his Dragon Fury saber high.

"Power Rangers, Ninja Fury!" The rangers said, in unison.

"Let's go, team." Dillon said, as he and the others walked outside.

The rangers were ready to face Mephiles yet again.

"Rangers..." Mephiles said, with a glare.

"It's Morphin' time!" Dillon said.

"Link to Morphin' Grid!" The rangers said, morphing into their ranger suits.

Dillon morphed into his Dragon Fury armor.

"Ninja Fury Power!" The rangers said in unison, taking their stance.

"Nindroids!" Mephiles said, as an army of nindroids teleported at his side. "Tear them apart!"

The nindroids charged, and so did the rangers.

The end of an old year, means a new beginning and rain of hope for Dillon and his friends. No matter what happens... if it involves incidents that someone jumps to conclusions, old childhood promises, or someone hidden away, the Power Rangers are always there to protect the world from Mephiles' reign.
