Episode 8b: Hunger

Episode description: While still dieting, Megumi's willpower is put to the test when Kazumi decides to record Megumi's reaction in her observation diary to various foods as well as experimenting to see if pain or laughter can displace hunger.

The students of class 5-2 were having their lunch break. But unfortunately for Megumi, she was struggling with eating again like yesterday. For the class lunch today, was spaghetti, soup, a bit of bread, a small carton of milk for a drink, and a cup of yogurt. Megumi put her spoon down again as Ryouta came over to her desk.

"Another diet?" Ryouta said, as Megumi yelped. "Then this time, I'll-"

"Wait! I haven't decided if I'm going to..." Megumi said.

"You're gonna eat today?" Ryouta asked.

Megumi felt uncomfortable as she blushed a little. She let go of Ryouta's arm as she spoke.

"Go ahead." Megumi said. "I don't want to eat!"

"Uh... okay." Ryouta said.

"You can give Dillon my spaghetti if he wants it." Megumi said. "Since he helped me out a bit yesterday."

"Alright." Ryouta said, taking Megumi's spaghetti and yogurt making his way over to Dillon's table.

Dillon was chatting a bit with Mai and Hisako. Stella also joined them since he helped her gain some confidence back. Dillon was talking about how he and the others took out Thiefdrone about a week ago.

"So, what happened then?" Mai said.

"Well, Thiefdrone somehow took our weapons. It was a bit annoying." Dillon said.

"Hey, Dillon." Ryouta said, coming to his table.

"Hey, Ryouta. What's up?" Dillon said.

"Well, Megumi didn't want her lunch today so she decided to give it to you." Ryouta said, handing Dillon the spaghetti.

"Oh. Thanks, I guess." Dillon said. "Is she struggling to eat again?"

"Yeah. She is." Ryouta replied, as he went back to his table.

"Hmm... I wonder what's wrong with Megumi this time. Her weight was alright yesterday." Dillon thought.

"So back to talking about the fight, what happened after Thiefdrone stole your weapons?" Hisako said.

"Oh, sorry. Well, we got a new zord thanks to Tsubasa becoming a ranger. It was like a flying saucer. We call it the Astro Zord." Dillon said, as he turned to Stella to she was laying her head down. "Hey, Stella?"

"Hmm?" Stella said, tired with her eyes slightly open.

"You want some spaghetti?" Dillon offered. "I already have my own. I figured you look hungry. Did you eat lunch?"

"Oh, uh... my school lunch was something I didn't like." Stella said. "But, sure. Thank you for the offer."

Stella took the extra spaghetti and yogurt Ryouta left on the table. Stella kissed Dillon's cheek as he put his left hand to the spot she kissed him and blushed. Hisako and Mai giggled just looking at Dillon blush. He went quiet as he continued eating lunch.

(Later that day...)

Outside, Ryouta was talking with Yuki again about why Megumi didn't eat lunch.

"She got fat again?" Ryouta asked.

"Yeah. She let her guard down because she thought she had lost weight, but it ended up-" Yuki said, before yelping in fear realizing. "Crap! I'll be considered a blabbermouth again! Hey, keep what I told you a secret!"
