Episode 13: Pinky Promise (Part 2)

Episode description: Ryōuta lashes out at Kazumi pitying him for wetting his bed under the impression that everyone was talking about Chika remembering their promise to marry each other only to realize his mistake when she apologizes to him the next day. Ryouta begins to sulk until Chika approaching him alone at the end of the school day to cheer him up, which causes him to recall the other promise that he made with Chika after wetting his bed in kindergarten: To try his best to become a better man. Ryouta catching Chika as she is about to lose her balance while changing her shoes signals his decision to forgive her.

Ryouta was sitting on top of his desk, feeling guilty about what had happened earlier with Aihara. He sighed in sadness, unsure of how Chika would ever forgive him for this. Dillon and Morro had already left with Stella, Sora, Kairi, and Aiden.

(With Chika...)

Chika was on her way home, with her bag on her shoulders.

"Chika-chan." Aihara said, as she caught up with Chika. "About what happened earlier... It wasn't really Sato-kun's fault."

"I know. I could hear your voices from the hallway." Chika said, understanding the situation. "I'm just angry at Ryouta's violent, loud, unmanly, and mean behavior! Even though he's the Blue Ranger..."

"I see." Aihara said. "Yeah."

"So... why did you two fight?" Chika asked.

"It was about the story I heard from you this morning, Chika-chan." Aihara replied.

"This morning?" Chika said, confused.

"Yeah." Aihara replied.

"From me?" Chika asked, making sure.

"Yeah." Aihara replied, once more. "When I asked him 'even now', he got angry."

"Did Dillon or the others know?" Chika asked.

"No." Aihara replied.

"Doesn't that-" Chika said, as she realized what went wrong. "When you asked him that, he got mad?"

"Yeah." Aihara replied.

Chika felt so guilty. She felt like she needed to apologize to Ryouta the next time she saw him.

(Flashback)

Chika threw the bell pepper that Ryouta was supposed to take a bite of, at his mouth. He fell on his back. Chika huffed and crossed her arms.

"For some reason, this isn't right!" Chika said. "I don't think it's that easy to become and adult! Ryouta, you think that too, right?"

Ryouta spit the pepper out of his mouth, and thought about what Chika had said. Chika felt herself becoming drowsy, and yawned quite loud. She rubbed her eyes and walked over to her bed, and got under the blankets.

"What should we do...?" Chika asked, before falling asleep.

Ryouta looked to Chika and felt himself tired out as well. He stretched his arms and yawned. He got up, and laid next to her in bed.

(End of flashback)

Ryouta was in his room, looking up at the ceiling. He was still completely unaware of what to do the next time he saw Chika tomorrow at school.

(The next day...)

Ryouta was on his way to school once again, but Chika had caught up with him to apologize for what happened yesterday.

"Sorry!" Chika said, feeling guilty. "I'm really sorry I told everyone."

"You told everyone?" Ryouta said.
