OAD Part 2: Slowly Drifting

Episode Description: In autumn, a maple leaf reminds Megumi of Ryouta's spiky hair, leading to some confusion...

It was a windy autumn day. Aihara was drawing a sketch on her notepad outside. As for the students inside, they had just got back from recess.

"That was fun!" Yuki said.

"I'm a bit tired out." Megumi said, exhausted.

"Megumi-chan, you can't just read all the time." Yuki said. "It's the autumn of sports!"

"Now that you've mentioned autumn..." Megumi said. "How far in has Natsumi-chan read the book I lent her?"

Megumi walked over to Hirikawa who was laying her head down on her desk.

"Megumi-chan." Hirikawa said, sitting up. "This book was so interesting."

"Looks like you had an interesting dream." Megumi said.

Hirikawa handed Megumi her book back. A maple leaf fell from in the book onto the floor. Hirikawa was confused about the leaf. Megumi picked it back up as she spoke.

"I used this as a bookmark." Megumi said, then noticed Hirikawa's face expression. "What's wrong?"

"Somehow, I get the feeling that I see that shape all year round." Hirikawa said.

Megumi looked back at the leaf, trying to figure out what Hirikawa meant. She turned to look over at the boys and realized that the maple leaf is a bit like Ryouta's spiky hair. Megumi took out a black marker from Hirikawa's marker pouch.

"I'm gonna borrow this for a sec." Megumi said.

Megumi drew a little face on the maple leaf. Hirikawa was confused.

"What are you doing?" Hirikawa asked.

Megumi finished as Hirikawa realized.

"Oh yeah! It's Sato-kun!" Hirikawa said.

"Hey, did you see that thing last time?" Ryouta asked.

"What thing?" Dillon said, confused.

"Oh, that!" Kouji said.

"Wow! It must be the autumn of arts!" Hirikawa said, as Megumi laughed a little. "Let's show this to Sato-kun! Megumi-chan, you're so good at drawing."

"That's a bit embarrassing..." Megumi said.

"Sato-kun!" Hirikawa said, running over to him outside.

"Wait, Natsumi-chan!" Megumi said, nervously.

"Look! Look!" Hirikawa said.

"Geez... She doesn't listen to me..." Megumi said.

"Because there are curry fairies living in supermarkets." Ryouta said.

"Are you serious?!" Kouji said, shocked.

"Wow! Curry fairies!" Tsubasa said.

Dillon laughed a little from that.

"Sato-kun!" Hirikawa called out. "Hey, look at this!"

The wind blew the leaf out of Hirikawa's hand. She tried to grab it back, but bumped into Ryouta as the leaf blew away.

"Uh oh." Dillon said.

"Sato-kun..." Hirikawa said, sad.

"Hirikawa?" Ryouta said.

"What's wrong?" Dillon said, concerned.

"Sato-kun!" Hirikawa said, turning to him. "Sato-kun fell off the balcony!"
