EPISODE 40 : CAUGHT

Everything is going smooth on us and in our relationship. As we expected, paparazzi has taken a picture of us wearing those weird outfits, that pictures are all over the newspaper now. Clyde never fails to check me every time. My restaurants sales goes up to 50% and I am more than grateful for that. He told me to minimize using social media for now because he's going to have an online interview to clear things up.

I embrace the necklace he gave me yesterday and didn't notice that I am smiling as the moment flashes like a movie on my mind, everything feels solace. I glance on the table were I put our picture on the sea. Our eyes were smiling that even the world, waves and sand can tell it. The memory I wish to carry even in my second life.

Napukaw ang aking pagmumuni nang may tumawag sa akin. Isa itong unknown number but to my curiosity, I tap the answer button, "Hello? Can I speak to Ms. Austria?" saad ng tinig ng isang babae sa kabilang linya.

I am engross to my curiosity and didn't even bother to ask who she is, "Yes. speaking. How may I help you?" tugon ko sa kausap.

"Hi Miss Austria, I'm sorry about that. I am Irene from Cooking Legends. We would like to invite you for our cooking show. We have visited your restaurant and my boss wants to collaborate with you. I will send our invitation in your email address for formality."

I nod while listening to her. I know how marketing strategies works on social media nowadays. They want to raise their sales and also their engagement. All my life, I have been focusing in my restaurant and forget to explore if there's other opportunities for me.

In fact I already have enough for myself. I feel excited not just by the opportunities flowing down on me in the future, what excites me more is; I can learn new things and at the same time I can help and share the blessings I have received to others.

Minsan sa lahat ng mga paghihirap at sakit na ating naranasan ay pinipili pa din nating maging mabuti. Hindi dahil gusto nating makatanggap ng simpatiya o atensyon kundi dahil alam natin na ang mundo ay punong-puno na ng masasamang tao at ayaw nating maging isa pa sa kanila.

Yes, it's nice to receive good comments from people and it's great to hear compliments but it is more satisfying if you doesn't yearn for that, just and by simply the idea to help others is beyond measure.

And with that thoughts on my mind, I agree to participate on the show. They also schedule our face to face meeting. It gives me excitement that I am able to explore things and go out to my comfort zone. I will never know how far my wings could take me if I will not take a risk.

Some people are afraid to go out on their comfort zone. Sometimes we choose to isolate ourselves in the cage we made from people who's trying to enter our lives. Trying to avoid the pain and traumas that the world once allotted to us.

Isolating ourselves can heal us, however time will come that we will get tired of it because we're just trying to run away from who we are and trying to fool ourselves that everything is fine, when in fact that it is not. We should know that, doesn't mean it hurts it isn't beautiful anymore.

Time flies so fast, I am busy attending to my restaurant. Inasikaso ko din ang billings at payrolls sa office dahil magiging busy ako next week. Hindi humuhupa ang mga customer sa resto ko kaya need nilang mag full time, tumutulong din ako sa kitchen pa minsan-minsan. Clyde never fails to visit me even in his busy days, magwo-work kami all day and we will make time for each other in the evening. Minsan nga ay nakakatulog na kami kaka-video call dahil parehong pagod sa trabaho. He's busy too because they are launching a new product at the same he's preparing for the interview online, and that will be aired today.
