EPISODE 44 : LIES BEHIND

I believe that love can take you anywhere you want. I believe that loving a person will make you believe things that you think you're not capable of believing it. By the courage and the motivations that love has given to you, you can do anything that seems too impossible.

Indeed, no man in an island. We can't stand on our feet alone, we need someone to rely on, we need someone who we can share the load whenever it's unbearable to carry, we need someone as a purpose to fight, to stand and to live. 

We should also need to know that it's okay, it's okay to be weak, to be a loser and to be a quitter because life is not all about fighting and winning the race but sometimes a book that has its ending, a music that has to stop and a game that is finally over. 

No one is grateful of ending but we should more grateful that we experience the thing that someone dreams about. We should be honored for the air we breath, for a family to bond and for the most genuine love with someone we could ever had. 

And to slowly accept what lies behind our fate.

And I'm slowly accepting what destiny is...I'm slowly accepting the fact that it doesn't mean that I want it, it has to be it.

"You look gorgeous on that dress," he complimented while playing a fork on the carbonara on its plate. 

I give him my sweetest smile. I've been seeing his face on the billboards, magazines, newspapers and even on television but I can't stop myself to be fascinated every time I see his face.

The face that I've been dreaming to see every morning and the rest of the day.

His features were more defined. He look more dominating with his shaved chin and waxed hair. Given his muscle that I can't get enough just by looking  at them.

"Thank you for the compliment," I replied and reach his hand for an embrace.

He intertwined our fingers, he's holding them tightly as if the world is about to end.

"Buti na lang naisipan mong dito na lang tayo mag-dinner imbes na lumabas. I couldn't promise to stop myself from punching each and every guy who will throw a look on my girl."

Napangiti akong muli, "Hanggang tingin lang naman mga 'yon sayo pa din ako kakaldag," biro ko na siyang nagpaubo sa kaniya.

"Don't play things with me, babe. I may not be a man I promised to be." Pinisil niya ang palad ko, nakaramdam ako ng kakaibang init na nagmumula sa kaniyang kamay kaya napabuntong-hininga akong muli nang maalala ang rason ng lahat ng aking ginagawa. 

As the song plays we eat our food and drink some wine, he told me about his frustrations in his company and I couldn't feel anything but to be proud of his accomplishments. I mean, he would not reach that far if he's not that great enough and it is such an honor to be loved by a person like him.

A minutes after we ate, he stand and approach nearer to me. My heart skip a beat as I can heed the loud tumble of it. 

"May I have this dance with you?" Nilahad niya ang kamay kagaya ng paglahad niya noong inaya niya akong sumayaw sa ilalim ng ulan. 

The difference is, his feelings are visible on his eyes now, the way it sparks when they landed on me, the way it stares without thinking of being caught, and the way it looks at me as the most beautiful woman in his eyes. This stare...I will miss this for life.

I wholeheartedly give my hand to him like the way I have given him my heart. They way I build and eventually broke that walls for him to enter my life. The way I set aside all my what ifs and convert them into I will.
