shenanigans... (matt's pov)

It's been three days since milly came back to London and even though she has her own flat, she has been in my place the whole time. It's also because she's now filming a music video for Noel Gallagher, and I've been reading some scripts and talking to my team about some press I have to do for my new film and also changing some stuff around since I'm going to these award shows in L.A. The good thing, I'll be sharing the experience with mills and the rest of the cast of house of the dragon.

Speaking of the show, we are supposed to leave in 2 days to L.A. and all of us are staying in the same hotel and me and milly managed to book one room for both of us. I have also been talking with Paddy these last couple of days to meet up with some of the guys from the cast that are here in the UK before going to L.A. and we have that meeting tonight at my place, and it's gonna be me, Milly, Paddy and his wife, Emma and their partner, Liv, Emily, Fabien, Eve, Steve, Elliot, Phea, Ewan, Rhys, Ryan, Harry and Tom. The actors (Bethany and Phoebe) who played the teen versions of my daughters can't make it because they're busy abroad working but they said they wish they can be here and hopefully they can make it next time and that we have to send pics of the evening in the cast group chat.

Suddenly my phone rings and I check my phone and see the one calling is paddy.

"Hey Patrick, how are you mate?" – I said – "Good Matthew and you?" – "I'm good, doing things around the house for tonight" – I said, and he laughed.

"That's great, my wife wanted me to ask if you need any help, we can come sooner to help" – he says and they're the greatest – "well I think I might need help since milly is on set still and I'm running behind. How sooner can you get here?" – I asked – "we can leave now and be there in 30 minutes, is that fine?" – he says – "yes, that's perfect. Thank you, guys," – "no problem at all. It was my idea so I'm happy to help. See you in a bit."

We ended the call and start back up the work on finishing cleaning the house and get the bathrooms ready to have visitors and I finished putting some lights in the patio and the table outside since the weather is great enough even for winter and we're having a brindis out and then come eat inside but still, I'm a perfectionist and I love having family and friends at home.

I start prepping the dishes for the dinner, except the dessert since milly did it last night and finished it early in the morning before leaving for work. Is a cookie cake her mom taught her to do when she wanted to make stuff for her brothers and mills says it means so much to her, so she wanted to make for tonight and it does looks amazing.

Ten minutes later I hear the doorbell and I go to open the door since I saw in the cameras that it was paddy and his wife the ones arriving.

I said: "hi guys, how are you?" – I gave him a hug – "Matthew, I'm good mate and you?" – went to say hi to his wife Shelley – "good, good, hey Shelley, come in" – she says – "hi honey, oh wow this looks amazing matt, you have good taste in decoration."

"Yes, I gotta give to you Matty boy" – I blushed before answering – "you're making me blush but thank you. I'm trying to impress you guys" – paddy laughed before speaking – "us? do you mean Milly?" - giving me eyes and starts laughing – "ha-ha very funny. Well, she has already seen that side of me, so nope. And she helped me last night and prepared the cake for dessert before leaving to film that music video she's doing at the moment."

"Oh wow, I cannot wait to see what she made. How is she doing?" – Shelley said – I smiled before answering her - "she's good. And even though she's been here just for a couple of days and is already working, so I don't think she has had time to process this move even though she moved back in July but she's just now moving full time to London but she's handling it well. The hardest part for her was leaving her mum since she didn't really want her to moved out, but she finally accepted a few weeks ago."
