a new beginning for us... (matt's pov)

The show started and is going well so far. The show got mentioned at the start during the host's monologue and it was pretty funny, me and milly along with the cast have been having a great time laughing and in our own little bubble.

Then it was announced that my and Milly's categories were coming next after commercials but what we didn't know and apparently not a lot of people in the audience knew is they were gonna give the awards together for best supporting actor and actress and both winners had to be on stage together, which is kinda weird but whatever we don't make the rules. What I did know is that milly got nervous because if we both win, we had to be on stage together and I totally get it, but it does feels weird but at the same time if that happens for both of us it's gonna be better to share that moment with her and there is no one I'd rather to share the moment and stage with other than amelia.

"These next performers absolutely did amazing work this season and we're so excited to announce the nominees for the critics' choice for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and the nominees are."

They showed all the actors in both categories back-to-back only mentioning our names and our shows and my name was the last one to be said and milly the first, so we went back-to-back.

"So, both winners have to be on stage at the same when we say your names. I know is weird, but we don't make the rules. So, with that being said, let's do this. And the critics' choice goes to..." the presenter says trying to open the envelope. "Ok I can't open this. I already broke this ups. Ok, so omg come up here you two, Milly Alcock and Matt Smith from House of the Dragon."

Wait, what just happened? I looked at milly and she has her hands on her mouth like not believing this moment and then paddy and liv were the first to hug us both and Emma hugged us too and I kissed milly's head and cheek while I hugged her and I could feel her shaking in my arms, so I told her in her ear for just to hear these words "I love you." She smiled at me and then I took her hand in mine, and we made our way to the stage, and I let milly talk first.

"This is just nuts. Thank you so much to the critics' choice association for this honor, this is so incredibly surreal and wild, but I appreciate everything that has happened since the show premiered and this just feels amazing. Thank you to the casting directors who gave me this opportunity and to my better half, queen of my heart Emma D'Arcy. Thank you for just being you and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you guys and for our lady queen and to the rest of cast here, Liv and Paddy I love you both so much and those who aren't here Fabien, Rhys, Eve, Ryan and to the geniuses sitting right there at our table Ryan and Miguel for keeping up with us and just being so supportive every step of the way. To my family back home, thank you and finally and most importantly to this guy right here (pointing at matt and smiling at him), my rhaenyra just wouldn't been possible without your support on and off set and for just being the best human in the entire world and just thank you and I love you."

I got speechless for like two seconds and I couldn't take my eyes out of her and I've never being so proud, and I have no idea which faces I was making while I listened to her speak but I was definitely drooling. She then held my hand and gives me a hug before I moved to the mic to talk.

"Oh shit, I have no idea what just happened but thank you to the critics, to our producers, directors, writers, to the amazing cast, Paddy, Emma, Liv, everyone you're the best. This project has been so amazing, and I have enjoyed every second of being Daemon and thank you to the fans for your support and I cannot wait to do it again. To my family back home, love you guys. Lastly, to my favorite leading lady, it was just such an honor sharing the screen with you Amelia Alcock (turning my head to look straight at milly and seeing her face go red but her shy smile was there looking back at me, then went back to look at the audience) and to watch you shine so bright and get honored this way and share it with you, it means more than words can express out loud. I'm just so proud of you and to share these memories with and alongside you, I love you so much. I think I can speak for the cast here that are gonna take it the next level next season that I can't wait to keep telling the next chapter of this story with our inspiration and our star Emma D'Arcy. So, thank you guys and good night."
