shenanigans... (milly's pov)

It's been four days since Matt left Australia and went back to London where he started filming his new movie and we've texting and talking every day whenever we can and have free time in our busy schedules and also since our time zones are so nuts. He sends me photos of him with Bobby or from the set, etc. and I do the same but less frequently since I'm almost done filming the newest season of upright. I miss him a lot, but it's been healthier for us that we're keeping ourselves busy with work and then when we get home, we get moments together even when we're thousand miles away.

Photos of us at the airport went viral and until yesterday we were everywhere online and people in social media were talking about us and wanting to know everything like noisy shit heads some of them are. They keep saying sources closer to us said this and said that and I call that bullshit because our families and friends have been nothing more that supportive and have called them out too and defending us and I'm so thankful to them. Some of those people in our lives that have gone crazy online and defending us include Paddy, Emily, Liv, Steve, and Emma and a few other castmates from house of the dragon and I love those guys so much. I don't read shit online but last night I was searching for a new recipe and read the title of the shit article and I didn't even wanna read at all, so I closed the search and my phone.

Matt has been the sweetest and most supportive boyfriend throughout all of this and has also stand up for me and us when he did an on set interview yesterday and the interviewer asked him about us and Matt got really mad as he should and as I'd have reacted too and walked out of that set and called me right away to tell me what happened and I said I'd have done the same and people only just talk and talk but I told him one thing is never gonna change is the fact that I love him and he loves me and we are the ones in this relationship and we know our story and that's it.

Yesterday, we found out that me, Matt, Paddy, and Emma along with the show were nominated for the critics' choice awards and I was really excited not just for me but for my castmates, the show and obviously Matt. I texted him immediately after my manager called me.

"Babe, congrats on your nomination for the critics' choice awards. We got nominated along with Emma and Paddy... I miss you and I love you... mills ♡."

15 minutes passed and I checked my phone when it rings and see he's the one calling me and I smiled.

He says – "hey babe, how are you?" – "hey baby. I'm good, and you? Are you on set?" – I said – "I just finished for the day, and I saw your text so I'm now going home and thank you by the way and same to you babe, so happy and I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you love. Drive safe please and send my love to Bobby; I miss him and you" – I can picture his smile through the phone like the one I'm wearing on mine – "I will. Good thing there are less days to see you. Are you on set? What time is it there?" – he asked.

"No, I'm home. I have to go to set later tonight and fortunately is a short shoot, so I'll be home in like 2 or 3 hours. Right now, is 7.44 pm" – I said – "well you better eat something before going to set" – he said and I couldn't love him more than I already do – "yes babe, don't worry. Oh, I have news, I just heard last night" – I excitedly told him – "oh, please tell."

"I booked a music video shot for Noel Gallagher's new song. We'll be shooting right before the award shows begin and is in London" – I was so excited for this just because I also know matt loves him and is friends with him and loves his music – "congrats baby, that's so exciting. He's awesome, you'll like him. I did a music video for him a few years ago and had a blast and he's really cool as a human, so I'm just so happy for you. You're gonna nail that."

"Thank you and yeah, he's great and the song is pretty cool too, so I'm excited" – I said – "hey love, I'm about to drive home. I'll text you when I arrive, please be careful on your way to work and back and text me whenever you can."
