"Price, you have to believe me. Isabella is the reason Y/N got kidnapped" Simon shifted his gaze to Price, feeling like he finally found a way to solve that puzzle.

Price was sitting behind a desk, his eyes fixed on the ground, hands tightly clenched into fists, and legs restlessly tapping against the floor. Price needed evidence, not just quick assumptions.

"How can you be so sure?" He tried to be as calm as possible, but deep in his heart Price would have done anything to save one of his soldiers.

"Isabella always seemed to want to separate us" Simon started explaining, but Price's slightly curved smile distracted him.

"So, is it true you guys were together?"

"Was it so obvious?"

"A bit" Price felt almost like a proud dad knowing that I finally had someone in my life.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that we nicknamed Isabella and Y/N used it. Even if it's not enough, think about what happened back in that town. She was with that piece of shit. I am sure Isabella is a member of not only Task 1-4-1"

Price was deep in thought, his fingers were slightly curled, and his palm was pressed against his mouth. His posture was slightly hunched over, and his eyes were fixed somewhere in the distance trying to work through a problem in his mind.

"It does make sense" There was a furrow in his brow as he tried to connect the dots.

"She also was the one who suggested leaving and using her just so we could find their new hideout" The more Simon explained, the more it became obvious that Isabella was indeed behind it.

"And I spent weeks, even months trying to find a single hint. But all this time it was right in front of us" Simon felt his heart race as he knew we would soon be reunited, yet a wave of disappointment rushed over him as he realized how stupid he had been.

"And how did you even get the video?"

"Out of nowhere a USB was delivered to me, no fingerprints, nothing that could have helped us" Despite the stillness of Price's body, there was a sense of restlessness and tension emanating from him.

"Who else knows about it?" Simon asked him question after question.

"Laswell and Shepherd"

"Good. I will ask Soap to help me. I'm pretty sure she will return to her nest"

...

Soap was more than shocked when he heard the news. He didn't know how to react as confusion and excitement filled his mind. After all, he couldn't wait to see me again, but Soap felt unprepared when Simon explained the whole story.

When he finished telling his plan, Soap took a moment to process the news before responding with a nod of agreement.

He was more than ready to avenge me.

...

It didn't even take a day before Isabella came to Price and requested a few weeks off. Telling him how much the past events had affected her, she tried to convince him she needed time to reflect on everything.

Knowing what kind of devil was hiding behind her angelic face, he agreed.

The moment she left his office, he ordered Simon and Soap to come to him. When they were told about her plan to leave for some time, the assumption that she was betraying them became clear.

Later that morning, when Isabella finished her shift, she headed towards her car in the parking lot. As she unlocked her car, she saw Soap approaching her with a friendly smile on his face.

"Isabella, hey! How is it going?" Soap said, waving at her.

Isabella's smile faded as she replied "I'm fine, thanks. Just heading home for a few weeks"

"Nice, nice. What are your plans?" Soap asked, trying to make a conversation.

"I don't know, probably just relaxing" Isabella replied, her tone making it clear she wasn't interested in chatting.

Soap sensed her annoyance and decided to back off.

"Oh, okay. Well, have a good one then. See you at the next team meeting" He said, before walking away.

Isabella rolled her eyes as she got into her car, wondering why some people couldn't just mind their own business. She started the engine and drove off, completely unaware that Simon had secretly put a tracking device in one of her bags while she was talking to Soap.

...

As Isabella drove down the streets toward her secret base, she couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness. It wasn't regret, per se, but something about the events of the past few weeks had left her feeling unfulfilled. She had always been the type of person to thrive on chaos and danger, but lately, it felt like something was missing.

As she continued, Isabella's thoughts wandered to her purpose in life. She had always found a thrill in the terror of her work, but now it all seemed meaningless. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more out there for her, something that would give her life its true meaning.

But then again, what else could she do?

This was all she knew, and she couldn't imagine any other path for herself. Maybe she was destined to be a bad person, to lie and deceive and manipulate her way through life. She didn't believe she could change, and even if she did, what else was out there for her?

Isabella shook her head, pushing aside her doubts. She swore to herself that she would continue down this path, no matter how empty it felt.

At least it was familiar, at least it was something.

Hours later she pulled into her secret base and made her way inside, greeted by the familiar faces of her team members. They chatted and joked around, but Isabella felt distant and disconnected as if she was watching the scene unfold from afar.

She thought back to her recent actions, the lies she had told, and the people she had deceived. There was a twinge of guilt, but she quickly pushed it aside. She had done what she had to do to survive in that line of work, and she wasn't about to let any bit of regret get in the way of her success.
