Dabi and Izanami's honeymoon went well. When she came back to work from her vacation Recovery Girl thought it was a good idea for her to take maturity leave early since she was always so tired.
At her 36 week appointment Dr. Mori put her on bed rest because her blood pressure was concerning. They'd been trying to keep it under control but nothing really seemed to help much.
After about a week on bed rest, Izanami felt like she was loosing her mind. Having Dabi dote on her was nice but staying home all day everyday got old fast.
She had Toga and Shigaraki move the Xbox from the living room to her bedroom so they could hang out with her more. They were good about keeping her company when they could but they were busy with other things and she didn't want to take up all their free time.
"Come on it's just three more weeks, we can do it" Izanami muttered to her belly as she felt exhausted tears well in her eyes.
She just sent Dabi to the grocery store for some cravings and she was all alone until he came back or Toga came home from school since Shigaraki was with Natsuo right now.
Before she knew it she was crying full tears, feeling absolutely ridiculous. Everything just felt like too much. She couldn't even help the others with the nursery, and don't even get her started on the fact that Shigaraki was leaving. She cleared her throat and wiped her eyes on her blanket to stop herself. She was happy Shigaraki and Natsuo were able to get such a nice apartment so close to the college but her heart ached at the thought of missing him.
She wiped her face again when someone knocked on her door.
"How was your day Iza-Chan?" Toga smiled as she and Chizue entered the room.
Chizue was quick to jump in bed with her. She licked at her face and nuzzled her head in Izanami's side, making her tear up again as she wrapped her arms around her.
"What's wrong?" Toga asked as she slid in bed next to her.
Izanami let go of Chizue and hugged her extremely tight. "I was lonely I guess" she mumbled.
"I think Chizue misses you when we're at school" Toga said, leaning her head on Izanami's shoulder. "Maybe you'll both feel better if I leave her here with you huh?" She smiled.
"I'd really like that" Izanami cried.
"Good, stop crying" Toga giggled as she wiped her face for her. "What do you want to eat? I know you're hungry" she asked before getting up.
"Dabi's coming back with the groceries any time now, he left about 20 minutes ago and he's bringing me some croissants" Izanami said.
"Well let me go make you some strawberry milk then" Toga smiled.
"Thanks Himibaby" Izanami said softly as Toga left for the kitchen.
Izanami felt 100% better now that Toga and Chizue were home. She absentmindedly stroked down Chizue's back as she waited for Toga to return.
Suddenly, she got an uncomfortable cramp that sorta knocked the wind out of her and Chizue huffed at her curiously. "I'm okay girl" Izanami assured the dog with a smile before she adjusted the pillow at her back to try and get comfortable again.
"I'm back" Toga smiled while she handed her a glass of strawberry milk. "I think I heard Tomura pulling up" she said. The Charger didn't sound like the Camero so it wasn't Dabi.
"Oh wow I didn't think he'd beat Dabi here, he usually stays out longer" Izanami hummed as she sat up straighter.
"Hey" Shigaraki called out before he popped into Izanami's room. "How you feeling?"
