Toga's first day back was full of excitement. Shoto seemed different too, it's like they both had a little more to smile about.

Free period was spent talking about nice things, like how Izanami was doing, and how Shoto's family was whole again.
Everything was smooth sailing until Aizawa said they were having a joint training session with Class 1-B. Toga almost forgot that she'd have to participate in these things now.

"No quirks" Aizawa announced as the two classes sat in front of him and Vlad King on the bleachers.

"What, are we so unmatched 1-A needs a handicap?" Monoma boasted, making the classes groan, glare, and scoff. Kendo even gave him a light smack to check his attitude.

"You guys lack combat skills" Vlad King corrected him seriously. "You all have been focusing on your quirks too much, you've neglected the fundamentals"

"Yes Sensei" Class 1-B replied.

"Alright we'll pair you off" Aizawa said. He and Vlad King spent some time matching up the right opponents for each student. Some pairs were best being from the same class but they made sure most of them were mixed.

"Toga and Midoryia" Vlad King announced and Class 1-B irrupted in a murmuring frenzy.

"So it's true"

"I didn't even recognize her"

"Won't she, like, try and stab him or something?"

Izuku ignored everyone as he descended down the bleachers and made his way towards the teachers for instructions.

Toga handed Chizue off to Kirishima and scurried over. "I can't spar with Midoryia" she said, glancing at him anxiously.

"How come?" Izuku asked. He knew he could match her movements for a fair spar, even without his quirk. They were a good match for a nice workout.

"I chose Midoryia because he can hold back and restrain himself but also because if need be, he could end the match nice and quick" Aizawa tried to explain.

"I can't..." Toga refused softly. What if she got out of hand and hurt him? She still didn't trust herself. If she was being honest, now that she actually has to do something, she was second guessing coming back to 1-A altogether.

"We'll be okay Toga, promise"
Izuku tried to assure but Toga just shook her head again.

She couldn't bring herself to spar with anyone she'd hurt in the past. And she's hurt so many of her classmates.

"I'll fight her!" Monoma excitedly volunteered, raising his hand high. If he beat a notorious villain everyone would have to take his class seriously.

"It's not a fight, we're sparing" Kaminari glared.

"Same difference" Monoma rolled his eyes as he walked to the center of the mat.

Toga looked over at him then to her teacher. "I just can't spar with people I've hurt before" she mumbled while looking over at her class.

"Of course, I'll only pair you with the other class from now on" Aizawa nodded, making corrections on his clipboard. "Go ahead and get in the ring with Monoma" he pointed to the circle designated for their match.

Toga nodded and entered the circle while Midoryia walked back to the bleachers.

"Careful Monoma" a classmate called out.

"You get 'em pig tails!" Bakugo shouted, standing tall.

"Sit down Bakugo" Aizawa groaned before blowing his whistle.
