Testing was done and Lando wasn't happy at all. He was frustrated, I could see that, I could feel that too. He tried to be as soft as possible but I could feel that he was trying to keep it together.
I got the job with Sky Sport and I couldn't be happier. It wasn't my dream job or anything but I would be close to Lando. They didn't know about Lando and I but they were about to. Lando looked at me as we were sitting in the car together. "Are you ready for this?" He asked as he grabbed my hand. "I will never get more ready" I intertwined our fingers and smiled. He put his head closer to mine and kissed me. We both got out of the car and walked to the paddock. We walked through the paddock while holding hands, it was the first time we did this but I could get used to it. I saw a couple of confused faces, even more than when they saw me back in the paddock. We walked passed the Ferrari hospitality where Millie was standing. The look on her face was priceless. I looked at her and pulled Lando even closer to me. He kissed the top of my head quickly. "I will see you during the interviews?" He said as we stopped in front of the Mclaren hospitality. "Yes baby. Good luck with practices" I said as I pressed my lips against his. As soon as I wanted to leave, he grabbed my arm and kissed me again. This time more deeply, with more passion.
After our kiss, I walked to the media center but not before I looked at Millie one last time. She was still looking at me, her eyes were filled with jealousy. I just smirked at her. She knew we were bigger than her lies, she knew that she couldn't break us up.

"How's your first day going as a Sky Sport journalist?" Scott said as he put a plate in front of me. I bet he tried to make sure I was eating. "Good, I met my colleague, she's pretty cool" Alexis was gonna be my colleague for this season but she would never be able to replace Scott. He was definitely my best friend but even he didn't know what really happened. Only Lando knew and I made him promise he wouldn't tell anyone. A girl walked in the media center and nodded at Scott with a smile on his face. "Oh who's that?" I nudged him playfully. "That's Lori, she's your replacement" Fuck that asshole just hired someone who looks like me. He was probably doing the same thing to her as he did to me, I had to stand up to him. But I wanted to talk to Lando about it first. "Are you okay? You know no one can replace you right?" He nudged me laughing. "Have you talked to Millie?" I looked at him, he was following Ferrari today so I knew he must have seen her. "Yes I did, she definitely didn't expect Lando and you to be together. Keep an eye on her though" I nodded. I knew I had to keep her close. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
"So I guess you wanna do the interview with Lando?" Alexis giggled. She probably heard the news already. "I mean, if you're fine with that" I smiled. It would be a little awkward at first but I guess he would be more comfortable around me. Max Verstappen was the first to arrive. He looked at me surprised. "It's good to see you're back but you are at the wrong side of the fence" he chuckled, he was probably referring to being his PR manager but I had no experience in that whatsoever. "I am definitely on the right side" I said which made him shake his head laughing. After Max finished his interview it was time for Charles, who was also surprised to see me. I guess everyone was. "You're looking good Avery" he winked before he did his interview. I blushed a little, even though I was desperately in love with Lando, he still could make me blush.
Lando was the next one to arrive, he didn't seem fine but I don't know if it was because he saw the interaction Charles and I just had or because of the car. "Hi Lando, how are you feeling after the practices?" I asked with a smile. He sighed a little. "We are obviously not happy with where we at right now but we will see tomorrow" I could see how annoyed he was but he was hiding it brilliantly. I don't think anyone else could tell. We finished the interview pretty quickly anyways.
Alexis and I finished the interviews with everyone and we were done for the day. I was about to go back to the parking lot to meet Lando when someone grabbed my arm. I rolled my eyes as soon as I saw her. Millie was standing right in front of me.
