"Max wants to come over. Are you okay with that babe?" Lando said as he walked in the living room. I was laying on the couch as we didn't have anything planned. We were about to have a lazy day but I guess Max was disturbing our plans a little. "Max who?" I asked. It was confusing because there was his best friend Max, but also Verstappen. I was hoping it would be the first one. I didn't know how to act around Verstappen now I knew he fucked Millie. I also didn't want to see her at all. "Verstappen" he said as he laid down on the other side of the couch. He probably saw how I rolled my eyes, I couldn't control it even if I wanted to, not that I actually did though. "Oh c'mon baby, he obviously won't bring Millie and he's going through a hard time right now" why did he even ask me if his mind was already made up? "It's just so awkward now I know he did things with Millie" I grumbled a little. I could see that Lando felt quite uncomfortable. He did things with her too but it wasn't as awkward around him because I knew they didn't go all the way, he stopped her, he was thinking of me. "But fine, you're right. He could need some friends right now" I continued. Max has always been nice to me, he welcomed me into the paddock. The least I could do was try to be a good friend when he needed one. "Aren't you the cutest" Lando said with a smile on his face. He crawled on top of me and kissed my neck a few times until he reached my lips. "And the prettiest" he put his thumb on my lips and looked me in the eyes. "But most importantly, you're mine and I am the luckiest guy in the world" he said right before he kissed me. His tongue swiped against mine. I couldn't explain the butterflies I felt with him. He made me feel all sorts of things but most importantly he made me feel safe.

As always in Monaco, we rented a yacht and spend the day on there. It wasn't just Lando, Max and I but Max invited a couple of other friends as well. I guess he didn't really need us specifically but it was a nice day after all. We spend the entire day swimming, sunbathing and just relaxing but I didn't really talk to Max at all. I knew he felt awkward around me as well because every time our eyes met, he quickly looked down. It was stupid, I didn't want things to be like that between us, so I decided to make the first move. He was sitting alone right now, he was looking at his phone, probably just scrolling through Instagram or something. "Hey you, do you mind if I sit here?" I pointed at the empty spot next to him. He quickly looked up at me and nodded. "I am sorry Avery. It was stupid and I wasn't really thinking with my brain that night" it was like he was apologizing for cheating on me. He obviously wasn't thinking with his brain but with his dick. "It was just a shock, I didn't expect that at all. Are you okay though?" I asked. It wasn't my place to judge at all. I knew how easy it was to fuck things up, to think that you would forget a person by fucking another. It didn't help at all. "I don't know. I just miss Kelly" I could see it in his eyes. He really loved her. I didn't know what to answer so I just wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer. He needed a hug, I needed a hug for different reasons.
"Are you okay though?" He pointed at my bruises, you could still see them a little bit. I nodded and shrugged my shoulders. "Fell down the stairs" Another lie. I couldn't tell him the truth because he would go tell Lando immediately. "If you ever wanna talk, please come to me. I know you didn't fall" he said softly. How did he know? I told everyone the same story, even my sister didn't know the truth. I looked at him and said nothing but I guess my silence said enough.
