Lando did let me go. He had all the right to do that but he did it like a gentleman.
He booked another room for me and posted a story on his Instagram explaining that we ended our relationship. He had every reason to be mad, but he wasn't or he didn't show it.

I was sitting on the balcony of my hotel room, just looking at the stars. My mom would be so disappointed. She would've loved Lando and I was scared he was gonna ask his money back.
I was scared this was really gonna be the end of us.
I bet Charles also saw Lando's post but he didn't call or text me. I didn't really mind because I actually didn't want to see him, it wouldn't be fair to Lando and I didn't really wanna see him anyways but it would've been nice if he actually checked up on me.

It wasn't gonna be an easy day in the paddock for neither of us, but especially not for Lando.
He had to do many interviews so he would probably get a lot of questions but also not for me because I was the one who had to interview him.
"I saw Lando's post, what happened?" Scott found me not long after I arrived at the paddock. "I cheated on him with Charles" I had no reason to lie to him, I couldn't lie to him. "What? Are you completely out of your mind?" He said and how could I blame him? He also saw all the things Lando did for me. "Yes I know, I am stupid" I rolled my eyes which probably made him even more annoyed. "Yes sorry but you are. You know I am always on your team but you're making it very hard right now" he shook his head as he was walking away with Lori.

Everyone was kinda giving me the same look right now. People who knew what I did, looked at me disgusted and people who didn't felt bad but I guess it wouldn't take long for everyone to know about what happened.
The only one who wouldn't look at me weird was Charles and I needed that right now.
I needed him.
I quickly walked to the Ferrari hospitality. I texted him to come outside a couple of minutes ago but he didn't answer, nor was he waiting outside.
I waited for 10 minutes but I felt stupid, honestly what was I expecting?
I shook my head and walked away, which caused me to bump into someone. It was Max Verstappen. Fuck, another one who was clearly not on my team.
"Oh wow I'm lucky you didn't fall on my dick by accident" he said as he looked me straight in the eyes.
It was obvious Lando told him everything, because I met Mad Max right now. "Don't worry you're not my type" I quickly said, I wanted to get out of this situation as quickly as possible.
"Lucky me, what is your type then? Pretty boys who drive for Ferrari?" He was starting to piss me off, it was none of his business anyway.
"Max, I honestly didn't mean to hurt him" which was the truth. I loved him with all my heart. It wasn't love with Charles, it was just lust.
"Yeah well that obviously happens when you fuck someone else Avery" I sighed a little. I wasn't in the mood for a lecture right now.

I just walked away. I always liked Max. I always really liked all his friends if I was honest but I noticed how they were all unfollowing me already, except for Lando.
He was the only one who was still following me.
I felt so alone all day. This weekend was gonna be the worst.

She was making everything worse. I put my phone away and sighed. "Hey, are you okay?" I quickly turned around. It was Lando. The last person I expected to ask me if I was okay.
"Honestly no, how are you?" He shrugged his shoulders. "I have to smile and pretend I'm fine but as you can see, I didn't sleep much" he referred to the dark circles under his eyes.
He still looked adorable and cosy. He was wearing a Quadrant hoodie, one I didn't see before. They were probably launching new merch soon.
"That hoodie looks cosy though" I pointed at it. He nodded and smiled. I could see how tired he was in his eyes.
"Thanks, we will be dropping them soon" he said as his phone started to ring. He quickly grabbed it and started to walk away. "Sorry I have to take this" and that was the end of our conversation for the rest of the weekend.

I honestly couldn't wait to go back home and be alone for a while.
