"Max!" I yelled through the paddock as I saw him. It was maybe a bit too loud because everyone turned around, even if their name wasn't Max.
He shook his head laughing and walked to me. "What's up Avery?" He was looking better today, but still not like he normally looked.
The Red Bull can in his hand wasn't for just sponsorship today. It was because he needed it too.
"Lando and I wanna invite you to dinner tonight" I started but I knew him too well, he would sigh and try to get out of it because he didn't want to be a third wheel.
"And before you say no, you have no choice. So I'll text you the details and we expect you to be there" I said before walking away. "Oh and goodluck in quali" I added. I could hear him laugh a little.
I was hoping our plan would work because there was a fair chance it would go south too.

"Miss Reese" a voice behind me said. No one really used my last name here. I turned around, Scott was laughing as he walked up to me. "Since when am I miss Reese" I rolled my eyes. "Since the day you were born" he answered without hesitation.
He was such an idiot sometimes but that's why I liked him. "I have to tell you something. When are you free for a meeting?" He asked. A meeting? Since when did we plan in meetings to tell each other things? "Now?" I answered. He looked at his phone and shook his head. "I can't right now, I have to follow your boyfriend but do you have time after quali?" I definitely didn't have time after quali.
I shook my head. "Can't you just text it?" He chuckled a little at my question. I guess it wasn't. "It's not something I can text you about" he just walked in the Mclaren hospitality without even giving me a hint what it was about.
"Hey! Give me a hint atleast" I ran after him.
I was so bad at this, I always wanted to know what it was about.
I kinda realized that he wasn't gonna answer my question. I guess I had to wait.

"What do you think?" Lando asked as he walked out of the bathroom. He was wearing a black button up shirt and black pants.
"Ten out of ten babe" I replied with a smile on my face. I guess he was as excited about this as I was, probably for different reasons.
He just wanted to get dinner with me and I wanted to fix things between Max and Kelly.
"We look pretty cute together" I said as I stood next to him. I nudged him a little. "Yes because you look so beautiful" he said as he kissed my cheek.

We were the first to arrive, but we planned that. We wanted to be the first. It would be pretty awkward if they got here without us. We sat down on the table, Lando was sitting in front of me.
"So what are we gonna say when they arrive? Oops we forgot we invited you both?" Lando chuckled. It wasn't something I thought about if I was being honest.
"We wanted to go to dinner with the both of you?" I suggested. "Even though you hate each other" he added and laughed.
Yeah we definitely didn't think this through.

Max was the first one to arrive. He sat down next to Lando but looked confused at the plate in front of him. "Is there someone joining us?" He asked. His question wasn't answered by us, but by Kelly walking in the restaurant.
His face got red, his body got tense. He definitely didn't expect this.
Kelly was being so polite, she greeted all of us with a smile on her face, even Max.
She obviously didn't expect this either but she didn't show it at all.
We all ordered some food and talked while eating it.
I noticed how they never really looked at each other, they were avoiding each other's eyes. I knew that feeling. It's not that you didn't love each other anymore but you just couldn't look at each other.
"Excuse me, I'm going to the restroom" Kelly said as she got up. "I am going with you" I said and quickly got up as well.
"Is it me or is it awkward?" She asked as soon as we walked in the restroom.
"A bit, but he really misses you. I've never saw him like that" I was just being honest, I didn't want to convince her but I saw that she didn't need convincing. She missed him too.
"I just couldn't deal with it anymore and then he admitted he slept with someone else" she said as she looked in the mirror. He actually admitted to that.
"Yeah well, I guess you both need a good chat. Lando and I will leave" I looked at her. I wanted to know if she was fine with that but she nodded her head. "Thank you" she said softly.

We both walked back to our boys and I put my hands on Lando's shoulders. "Let's go baby" I said. He looked up at me. "What? Already?" Did he really forget we were trying to play cupid here?
I raised my eyebrows a little and he finally got it.
"Oh right yeah I'm pretty tired as well" he faked a yawn and got up. 
I waved at the both of them before grabbing Lando's hand and quickly walked out of the restaurant.
"I guess Max will cover the bill" Lando laughed as he intertwined our fingers.
"He won't complain about that" I replied as I pulled him a little closer.
I hoped they would make up because I would love to go on actual double dates with them.
