Lando's POV

We were in Baku for the next race. We had a decent result during the last race so I was only hoping we would score some points again.
I was concentrating on that and not on Avery anymore. I should forget her. She was only fucking me over anyways. I knew she went to see Charles after she stayed the night at my place, in my bed.
She definitely tried something that night. I could've fucked her if I wanted but I didn't.
It would be different if she actually flew to Monaco for me, but she didn't.

And then we had Lori, the beautiful Netflix girl. The replacement for Avery but could she replace her in my life too?
I definitely liked her family, that evening was absolutely amazing but I just wasn't ready to open my heart again.
I could just have fun with her because I knew she liked me a little. I could see that in her eyes but I also didn't want that. I didn't want to just play around with her because I didn't want to get her hopes up.
She deserved more than that.

I just finished the practices. My team promised that they would bring upgrades to this race but the car felt the same, like shit.
I was getting frustrated. I was always positive during the interviews but I was so done with that. I wanted a competitive car, I didn't want to fight for the last places.
"You need to calm down a bit" Charlotte said as we were walking to the media pen. "C'mon, I'm just done with that shit car" I said. She didn't answer. She just rolled her eyes which made me even more annoyed.

I did my interviews with no enthusiasm today. I couldn't pretend to be fine with this because it wasn't gonna help us. They needed to understand that it was a shit car.
"Hi Lando, how does the car feel?" Avery said with a smile on her face.
"Very good if you're a farmer" I replied, I could feel Charlotte's eyes on me. She was definitely not happy with what I just said.
"Is it that bad? Did your team bring upgrades?" Avery chuckled a little. "I feel no difference so I guess they were lying. I honestly don't know" Charlotte didn't even let me finish. I wanted to say so much more but she nudged me and grabbed my arm.
"What do you think you're doing?" She looked at me, she was angry I could definitely see that.
"Just being honest like you always said I should" she rolled her eyes. "That's obviously not what I meant. What's wrong with you lately?" What a question. What does she think? I had so many good offers and I decided to stay with Mclaren because I wanted to be loyal to them.
It was so frustrating.
"Maybe you should find a way to let your frustration out because this is not the way Lando" she said as she walked in the hospitality.
She was right but I couldn't help myself.
Avery used to calm me down and motivate me but I lost her.

"Are you okay?" Someone asked from behind me. I quickly turned around and saw Millie. I didn't really wanted to talk to her. "No obviously not" I rolled my eyes and wanted to go in the hospitality. "So you need someone to fix that frustration?" She grabbed my arm and stopped me from going. "Are you a mechanic now?" I raised my eyebrow. "No but I'm pretty good at something else" she said softly.
It maybe wasn't the best idea but I could use someone to calm me down and she was literally offering herself. "Then you should meet me at my room" I whispered in her ear. She didn't expect it at all, I could see that in her eyes.
"I definitely will. Please be prepared because I will make you feel the best you ever felt" she winked and walked away.
Was I really about to do this? I had nothing to lose, I already lost Avery so why shouldn't I do this?
