"I don't know if this is a good idea Scott" I said as we were driving to the MTC. I felt nervous and sick. "Yeah too late, we are already in the car and I'm not driving back" I sighed a little as I looked outside. Lando definitely didn't expect me to be there. I didn't even know what I was going to do exactly. "So just relax and be honest with him" Scott said as he patted my back. We both walked in the MTC and Scott guided me to the room where the launch was about to take place.
Lando was standing in the room, wearing his new racing suit and his black fireproofs. He was talking to his best friend Max and to some other members of Quadrant. Max nudged him and looked at me. Lando quickly turned around, I think we both just looked at each other for a while. He finally walked to me and looked at me confused. "What are you doing here?" I shrugged my shoulders. "I just wanted to support you" it wasn't a complete lie, but I also wanted him back in my life. Why was I so afraid to tell him? Maybe because there were a bunch of people watching us. "Thank you" he smiled a little, but he seemed off. He definitely didn't want to talk to me and how could I blame him? I ghosted him for months and I kicked him out of the house he paid for. He wanted to turn around and walk back to his friends but this time it was me who stopped him. "Lando I'm sorry. Millie told me you guys were dating and I believed her." Why did I believe her? She was such a toxic friend, exactly how Lando said she was. "And when are you finally gonna believe me? How many times did I tell you that you can't trust her? That she wasn't a good friend?" He raised his voice just a little. "I do believe you now" I said softly, but it probably was too late already. "After she broke us up and you ghosted me for months. You left me without explanation. I travelled all the way to you and even then you avoided my question" He was right. If I wanted him back, then I should be completely honest with him. So I decided to be blunt and honest. "You wanna sleep at mine tonight?" Okay maybe that was a little bit too blunt because I noticed how confused he looked. "I will explain you everything but I'll need some cuddles after that" he didn't reply. Charlotte walked in and looked at him. He needed to go and that's what he did, without giving me an answer. I should've known that I would be hard to go back to the way we were.
Unfortunately Scott was my ride back, so I had to watch the entire thing. It wasn't that long but it killed me to look at Lando. He was looking so good, why did I ever let him go?

"Atleast you tried right?" Scott said as he dropped me off by my house. I nodded. He was right. I was happy I had the guts to do this even though it ended in nothing. I walked back in my house and changed into something more comfortable. I looked at myself in the mirror. It has been a long time since I could proudly look at myself. My heart stopped for a second when I heard my doorbell. Fuck, was it Lando? Did he decided to come anyway?
I ran to the door. I didn't even care how I looked right now. Please let it be Lando. I opened the door and smiled. "I guess cuddles are better than an invite for a barbecue anyways" he said with a smile on his face. I shook my head laughing as I pulled him into my arms. I guess it was a hug we both needed. "I've missed you so much" I mumbled against his neck. It felt like home, he smelled the same, I would never get tired of that. "Avery, I never dated Millie or even touched her. I was completely broken after you left, you can ask anyone. I was a mess. I would never hurt you, I wanna make you happy but I don't want us to be a secret. I wanna show you off and kiss you in the middle of the paddock" it honestly was all I wanted to hear. My heart started to beat so fast. I looked at his lips and I guess he was thinking the same thing because he put his hand on my cheek and pulled me closer to him. Our lips touched, our tongues did the same a little later. I wrapped my arms around his neck as I pressed my body against his. "I don't wanna be a secret either. Let me show you how proud I am to be yours" I mumbled against his lips. I could feel how he smiled. He licked the corners of his lips as he looked at me and put my hair behind my ear. "And I want you to be honest with me. Why did you leave?" I sighed. I was expecting this. I pulled him inside and looked at him. "Are you ready to hear everything?" He nodded. "I'm ready baby" he said as he kissed my cheek a couple of times.
It wasn't gonna be easy to tell him everything but it was necessary and I liked the thought of cuddles after it.
