"So he actually came to your room to tell you he loves you?" Alexis said as we were sitting in the media center. I told her pretty much everything. "That's actually so romantic and cute" she smiled. She was right, it was cute until he just walked away before I could actually say something. We had to concentrate on the interviews but I couldn't. I just wanted to talk to Lando. He did a pretty decent job during qualifying. He got into Q3 and ended P8, so he must be happy. "Yes it was cute but then he just walked away" I said as we were walking to the media pen. "And you didn't run after him?" She asked. I actually didn't even think about that. I was so confused that I just let him go. Fuck, I should've ran after him. "I am stupid" I said which made Alexis chuckle. "It's not too late though, just talk to him" she was right. I had to ask him why he just left. Maybe we could start things again but slowly this time.
I was right, Lando was happy about his results during quali. He was smiling from ear to ear until his eyes met mine. What did I do wrong though? "Hi Lando, great quali. How are you feeling?" I asked as he walked to me and put his hand on the railing. "Good, it felt good to push everything out of the car" he said with a smile on his face. I asked a few other questions and he answered them all with a smile but as soon as we finished he walked away. There was definitely something bothering him and I was gonna find out what.
As soon as we finished the interviews I walked to his hospitality. He was talking to Lori. I noticed that they got pretty close so it was time to interrupt their conversation. "Hi guys, sorry to disturb but can I talk to Lando for a quick second?" I looked at Lori. She didn't seem too pleased about it but she still nodded and walked away. "That was bold" Lando said as he smiled. "Sometimes you have to be bold if you want something" I said as I brushed my hand against his. He didn't expect that because I could feel how he flinched a little. "Lando, it was very cute how you came to my room yesterday but did I do something wrong?" He just shrugged his shoulders. "I just thought I was interrupting something because I saw Scott sitting on your bed" oh fuck that's why he walked away. He thought I was dating Scott? Or doing things with him? I honestly would never but I guess I shouldn't be surprised about him thinking that. "No no, Lando I would never do something with him. We are just friends. Only friends. I actually want you, I want you back in my life" I could see how he was processing everything I was telling him. He frowned a little. "I thought you wanted to work on yourself first?" This was definitely his speciality. He always used my words against me, but atleast he was listening to me. "We can work on that together?" He smiled a little as I said that but I knew our conversation was about to end because I saw his trainer walking out of the hospitality. He was standing awkwardly waiting for a little while before he walked to Lando. "I am so sorry to interrupt but we need to go" he said softly. Lando nodded and looked back at me. "I need to go work out but I really wanna take you out. Do you wanna go to dinner when we are back in England?" I nodded enthusiastically. It has been a while since we went to dinner together. He smiled as he kissed my cheek softly. "You'll get a real kiss when we're alone" he whispered. It definitely gave me goosebumps. I also wanted to wait. He probably knew it was a pretty big deal for me.

I was laying in bed alone as I was scrolling through Instagram. I don't know how long I was staring at his picture but it was a pretty long time. It was a view I saw a couple of times before in different circumstances and I would never get enough of it. Millie's comment bothered me though. Why was she still trying after he literally pushed her away. She tried to use him when he was at his lowest point. I was actually so done with her.
I got up and grabbed Lando's hoodie which I stole a couple of months ago. I quickly put it on and walked out of my room. It was time to confront Millie. I was quiet for way too long. I had to release my demons and she was the first on my list.
