Lori's POV

I was nervous. It was weird, I felt comfortable around Lando but at the same time I felt nervous.
I don't know for how long I was standing in front of the mirror but it must've been a long time.
I wanted to look good for him. I don't know why because his heart has just been shattered in a million pieces. He wasn't ready to let someone else in, even though I would try to fix his heart again.

He invited me to have a chill day with him and his Quadrant family. I already met them during the photoshoot and I actually really liked them.

Just as I was about to knock on his door, his door already opened. It was Avery. I didn't expect her to be there at all. "Oh hi Lori, I'm quickly going to the store, you want something?" She said with a smile on her face.
Are they back together? Why would Lando take her back? He isn't that stupid right?
"Uh no thanks, I'm fine" I said as I smiled at her. I didn't really like her at all. "Lando just woke up, he's probably in the shower" she said as if she actually lived here.
I just decided to ignore her and walk in.

"Hi Max" I said as I walked in the kitchen. He was leaning against the counter with a coffee in his hand. He smiled as he saw me. "Hi Lori, how are you?" I shrugged my shoulders. I was actually very excited to spend the day with them until now.
I didn't know Avery would be here too. "I got greeted by Avery. Are they back together?" He shrugged his shoulders in response. "She just showed up yesterday evening but Lando isn't that stupid to take her back, hopefully" I knew Max wasn't a big fan of Avery either. Not anymore atleast.
"Hi Lori" Lando said with a smile as he walked in the kitchen. His curls were still a little damp so Avery was right. He was taking a shower.
"Hi Lando, good to see you" I said as I hugged him quickly. He looked adorable, but honestly he always looked pretty cute.
I honestly felt a little uneasy because I wasn't sure why he invited me. Did he like me as more than a friend? Probably not because why would he let Avery in?

Avery returned with some food. It was quite obvious that she wanted Lando back but I don't think Lando returned that feeling. He was pretty distant to her, but maybe it was because I was here?
"Anyways guys, I'm going" Avery said as she got up. She leaned to Lando and kissed him right next to his mouth.
I really wanted to roll my eyes at that. I was actually happy that she left.

We spend the entire afternoon talking and laughing. Niran and Kayla came over as well.
Lando and I were sitting on the balcony, he had an amazing view of Monaco.
"What are you thinking about?" He said as he looked at me. "Nothing really, I was enjoying the view" I replied. I was actually thinking about something. I had to go to Spain tomorrow, I was gonna visit my family and little brother.
"What's up with you and Avery?" I looked at Lando. I didn't know where I got the guts from but I wanted to know if I was wasting my time or not.
If he did something with Avery again, then I wasn't gonna bother to get to know him better.
"She said she had no place to sleep so I let her sleep here. She definitely tried something but I am not stupid. She's obviously going to Charles right now" I was happy he saw right through her.
"I am happy about that" I mumbled a little. "About what?" He said with a little smirk. "That you're not stupid" I nudged him laughing.

I wanted to invite them to Spain. I knew they wanted a little vacation and my little brother would really like him.
I had nothing to lose anyway. "So do you guys have anything planned?" I asked as I looked at him.
He shook his head. "Not really why?" He took a quick sip from his drink. "I am going to Spain, so I was thinking you guys could come to for a little vacation?" He nodded. "That sounds great. You gonna visit your family?" I nodded now. I could spend some days with my family but also enjoy a little time with these boys.
It was perfect and it was gonna take his mind of things and away from Avery.
He needed that, not because I liked him a little but for himself also. He deserved more, someone who wouldn't betray him like that.
