I walked to my drivers room just before the race. I was putting on my racing suit while I was calling Avery.
She didn't pick up immediately so I tried again. After a few tries she finally picked up. "Hello?" Her voice sounded soft and hurt. "Baby finally, Sienna told me what happened. Are you okay?" I zipped my racing suit up and grabbed my phone.
I wanted to switch to facetime but she declined it.
"I am okay baby, don't worry. Are you ready for your race?" Well I was ready, until now.
I just wanted to fly back and cuddle the shit out of her.
"Yeah but are you sure that you are okay?" I asked again. I wanted to make sure that she was fine before jumping in the car.
"Yes babe, it was a stupid accident. I am ready to watch your race" she said as I could hear her sit down on the couch. I had to trust that she was fine.

It was a pretty boring race overall. I couldn't really overtake anyone but no one overtook me either.
So there was not really a race for me.
I absolutely hated races like that. It was the worst thing. Charles had engine problems so he didn't finish the race, so I ended on P9.
Which wasn't too bad but it must be such a boring race to watch. No one really overtook someone.

Someone put his hand on my shoulder as I was walking back to the hospitality.
"Mate, do you wanna go to dinner tonight?" Max Verstappen asked.
It was actually a good idea because I had to talk to him. "Sure, are you bringing someone else or not?" I asked.
I actually wanted to make sure he wasn't bringing anyone. "Just you and me" he chuckled as he said that. "Then it's a date" we both started laughing as we returned to our hospitalities but before I walked in, I saw Sienna.
I had to know who invited her, I always saw her walking alone and I didn't see her with a driver.

"Sienna" I said as I walked to her. She quickly turned around with a smile on her face. "My favorite brother-in-law" she chuckled.
"Hopefully I am your only one but okay" I laughed as I hugged her.
"Who were you supporting this weekend?" I asked as I raised my eyebrow. "You obviously" she grinned.
It was a very good answer but she was obviously lying. "But I didn't invite you though" I looked at the paddock pass around her neck.
Someone gave her a pass for the entire weekend, it had to be a driver or teamboss but I didn't even wanted to think about that.
"Indeed you didn't. Shame on you" she winked and laughed a little before walking away.
God this girl was as smooth as her sister. I guess it ran in the family.

"So mate, Avery knows" I said as I looked at Max. His face didn't really change so he already knew. He obviously knew, he probably heard her or Millie told him.
"And you do too I see" he laughed a little. I shrugged. "She told me. She's concerned you actually like her" the chuckle he did after I said that honestly said enough.
He didn't like her, but I knew how she could be like. She sucks you in. "Trust me mate I don't" he reassured me. "So you and Kelly are not in a great place I assume?" He always listened to my problems so it was only fair that I listened to his, if he wanted to talk about it.
"She broke up with me, I don't even know why. She never explained, she said she was just done with it, whatever that means" that actually surprised me. She was someone I thought was fine with the traveling but I guess she wasn't.
We should definitely appreciate our girls more.
I was lucky Avery worked on the paddock, she had to be here for her job but I guess it still wasn't easy for her.

I was gonna send her flowers every time I was away and she didn't come with me.
