I was sitting on the kitchen counter early the next morning. I couldn't stop thinking about last night, it was amazing.
His kisses, his touches. Everything felt amazing.
Lando walked in the kitchen and leaned against the doorframe. He crossed his arms as he looked at me.
He was only wearing grey jogging pants. No shirt.
"Good morning" his voice sounded rough. He still looked pretty tired.
He walked to me and opened my legs to stand between them. He kissed my forehead and looked at the mug in my hands.
I was drinking coffee, I knew he wasn't a big fan but he would occasionally drink it if he was really tired.
I guess today was that day.
"Do you have a day off today?" I asked. I was actually hoping he would have a day off, he needed that.
He shook his head. "I am leaving for Miami tonight. When is your flight?" I totally forgot about Miami. It was the next race and it was only in a couple of days. "I am not going, I'm not doing the races in America" I explained. I was happy about that because I already felt tired, I couldn't imagine how he was feeling and now he had to survive another timezone again.
"Are you kidding me?" He grumbled and put his head in my neck.
"Then you have no choice but to cuddle me all day" he grabbed the mug out of my hand and put it on the counter before picking me up.
I giggled as I wrapped my legs around him and kissed him as deeply and lovingly as I could.
I was going to miss him, I definitely was.

We were laying on the couch, talking while watching tv. I told him what happened with Millie. I told him who she was with and he didn't look surprised at all.
Was he expecting this?
"You have to talk to him" I said which made him look at me. "Me? Why?" He rolled his eyes a little, I slapped his arm. "You have to warn him for her" he sighed a little. He probably didn't want to get involved, especially not after what happened between him and Millie.
I still hated the fact that she touched him and saw him naked but I had to get over that.
"He's an adult Avery and I doubt that he's gonna listen to me" I shook my head and walked to the kitchen.
It annoyed me that he thought it wasn't a big deal, it was a big deal for me. I hated how she was fucking every driver on the grid.
Okay I fucked two drivers as well but I was actually dating one of them.
She was just checking them off as if she was doing some grocery shopping.
Lando followed me to the kitchen not much later. "I will talk to him but I don't think he wants anything serious with her baby" he said as he wrapped his around my waist from behind.
He kissed my neck a few times to calm me down. "I just don't want her in our group of friends" I knew Lando hung out with him a lot so the thought of her joining was killing me.
I didn't want to see her. It was probably selfish but she was bad news, very bad news.
"Don't worry baby" he mumbled against my neck. It hit me in that moment, I also didn't want her around Lando.
She probably wasn't gonna give up on him, I trusted him but I definitely didn't trust her.

"I don't want you to leave" I pouted as we were standing in front of his car. He was leaning against it and pulled me closer to his body.
"I will call you as soon as possible" he tucked my hair behind my ear and looked me straight in my eyes.
We've only spend a day together and I needed more time.
Just as I was about to kiss him, someone interrupted us. "Avery? Is that you?" We both looked next to us. My heart stopped, I felt chills all over my body.
It's been a while since I saw him, I was hoping to never see him again.
He looked at Lando and pointed at him. "You're Lando Norris. Good luck in Miami man, I hope the car suits the track" he said. I didn't know he was a formula one fan but then again, I didn't know much about him anymore.
"Thanks, I hope so too" he said quickly.
He wanted to be polite but I could see he wanted some private time with me as well.
Fortunately he got the hint and started to walk away. "Good to see you Avery. I hope to see you again soon" he said as he walked to the house next to mine. Fuck, was he still living there?
Lando tilted his head a little, he was waiting for an explanation but this wasn't the time for that.

After we said our goodbyes, he left. I closed the door behind me and put my back against it.
My worst nightmare was living next to me. I hoped to never see him again.
