Prompt: Someone looks out their window to see a clown standing at a corner holding a balloon — staring at them.

It was a quiet afternoon in the small town of Millfield. The sun was shining, and the birds were chirping. Everything seemed normal until Sarah looked out her window and saw a clown standing at the corner of her street. The clown was holding a red balloon and staring directly at her.

At first, Sarah thought it was just a prank or a joke. But as time passed, the clown didn't move. It just stood there, holding the balloon and staring at her. It was as if the clown was waiting for her to do something.

Sarah's heart started racing. She had heard stories about clowns and their creepy behaviour. She didn't know what to do. Should she call the police or confront the clown herself? She decided to call her friend Katie, who lived a few blocks away.

As she waited for Katie to arrive, Sarah kept an eye on the clown. It was still standing there, motionless. She couldn't take her eyes off it. Finally, Katie arrived, and they both looked out the window. They were both shocked to see the clown still there, staring at them.

Together, they decided to confront the clown. They went outside and walked towards the clown. As they got closer, the clown started to move. Sarah and Katie froze in fear. But then they realised that the clown was just walking away, slowly disappearing into the distance.

Sarah and Katie were relieved that the clown was gone. They quickly went back inside and locked all the doors and windows. They were both shaken up and couldn't stop talking about what had just happened.

For days after the incident, Sarah couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. She would constantly look out the window, just in case the clown came back. But it never did.

Eventually, Sarah and Katie realised that the clown was probably just a harmless prankster. But the incident had left a lasting impression on them. To this day whenever they see a clown, they can't help but feel a sense of unease.
