Prompt: You have no reflection in the mirror.
Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Emily who had always felt like she didn't quite belong in the world. She had never been able to put her finger on why, but she had always felt like something was missing.
One day, Emily was standing in front of her bathroom mirror, getting ready for work, when she noticed something strange. She had no reflection. She blinked a few times, rubbed her eyes, and looked again, but there was no mistaking it. She could see the bathroom behind her, but there was no Emily in the mirror.
At first, Emily was terrified. She thought she might be going crazy, or that she was the victim of some sort of bizarre prank. But as the days went on, she began to realise that something truly strange was happening to her. She could see herself perfectly well in photographs and on video, but in every mirror she came across, there was no reflection.
Emily tried to ignore it at first, but it was impossible. Everywhere she went, she was reminded of her condition. She avoided mirrors whenever possible, but sometimes she would catch a glimpse of herself in a shop window, or in the side of a parked car, and it would send a chill down her spine.
As time went on, Emily began to feel more and more isolated. She couldn't talk to anyone about her condition, because nobody would believe her. She began to wonder if she was the only one in the world like this, and if there was something fundamentally wrong with her.
But then, one day Emily had an epiphany. She realised that her lack of reflection didn't have to be a curse - it could be a gift. She started to experiment with her newfound ability, and found that she could move around undetected in ways that most people couldn't. She could slip into places unnoticed, and observe things without being seen.
Slowly but surely, Emily began to embrace her condition. She realised that it made her unique, and that she could use it to her advantage. She stopped hiding from mirrors, and started to seek them out, just to revel in her own strangeness.
And so, Emily lived a long and happy life, always knowing that she was different, but never letting it hold her back. She was a living, breathing mystery, and she loved every minute of it.
