CHAPTER TWENTY~FOUR.
11:45p.m.
Holly smiles brightly, "So what are you guys talking about?"
"What are we talking about?!" I cross my arms.
"Yeah!" She chirps.
I roll my eyes, "Holly, your such a jerk."
Her smile fades away, she grabs my arm and takes me away from the guys. "Paisley, what's your problem?"
"My problem?"
She nods, "Yeah, you've been really bitchy lately."
"The only way for you to know that is if you were talking to me. You haven't even sent a text, Holly. I'm not the one with the problem. Is it that Scott dude that's causing you to act like this?"
She scoffs, "It's Steven, get it right. And acting like what?"
I cross my arms over my chest, "You're being kinda an ass. How do you not see it? I have a lot going on that I just want to talk to you about, I want to know what's going on in your life too. It's been weeks, I haven't heard a word from you. Are you mad at me? Did I do something to offend you? What's wrong?"
She rolls her eyes, "I don't-"
I squint at her and look her closer in the face. "Did you get your nosed pierced?"
"Yeah I did. As I was saying." She snaps, "I don't get why you keep saying that. I've just been hanging out with Steve. Am I not allowed to not talk to you?"
"Whatever Holly, your giving me a headache." I shove my hands into my jacket pockets, "it's getting late, I need to head home. See you whenever."
She grabs my arm, yanking me backwards. "I'm not done talking to you Paisley!" She barks.
"Yeah, well I'm done talking to you." I pull my arm from her grasp.
She grips her fingers around my arm, "Paisley."
"What!?" I fume.
Her eyes widen at my tone. "Not everything's about you Paisley."
"I know that, Holly. I always try to put you first. Is there something going on in your life that you want to talk about? Tell me! I'm listening, Holly, I'm always a phone call away."
She stays silent.
"Holly, What is going on?"
"Nothing! I don't get why your acting like a bitch."
"I'm not a bitch."
She grins, "No, you kinda are."
"Whatever, I'm done here." Before I have the chance to turn around, my cheek throbs and burns in pain. My eyes widen, Holly just slapped me. I open my mouth to say something, but nothing comes out, a tear trickles down my cheek. I stand frozen, I take a deep breath and wipe my tears away.
